Greatest band ever

I would just like to say that I have discovered the greatest band ever. This band is called Moksha. Their website is mokshamusic.com I you like sort of trippy, abstract, jazzy, fusiony stuff, this band's for you. They are actually a bunch of professors at Berklee College of Music in Boston and really know their shit - amazing lines and whatnot. They sound kind of dark like pink floyd with jazz mixed in. But their songs are long and the structure is more like that of Phish. The only way to hear them is to order a CD ($15) but I strongly recommend it.

PA&L is the wrong forum happy.

Clam Dude definately isn't in this band, and they're definately some of the wildest jazz I've ever heard...
but yeah, wrong forum.

Hard to believe that the bassist from Tool and Tom Morello from RATM and Audio Slave were in each others first band.

well, both bands' latest releases suck anyway.
last good mettalica album = ...And Justice for All last good Megadeth album = Countdown to Extinction
I guess selling out and sucking up are inevitable in the lifespan of a band, no matter how good it starts out...

You didn't like the black album? I thought it was their best work really. Not my favorite, but their best quality work. I like Kill 'em All and Justice more though.

some of the Black Album was OK, but I see that record as the fork in the road that led Mettalica to overproduction, oversimplification, and trying to be like Nirvana (great band, but Mettalica should never have compromised because of their success)
anyway, the record was good, but it wasn't "Mettalica" to me. It seems that this album was the point at which they stopped being a thrash metal band and started sounding like a mix of hard rock/country/pop/alternative
gee its kind of wierd having a conversation like this in the PA&L forum... but whatever. Fuck those fascist categorizations anyway!!!

master of puppets was the best followed by ...in justice for all, ride the lightning, black, kill 'em all, load, st. anger, then reload. I didn't count any of the garage days.
this doesn't mean i hate any of their music. I like it all. especially the blue oyster cult cover of Astronomy.

I understand what you are saying. The had lost a lot of that raw anger that came out in their previous albums. Bob Rock did a good job on the Black album. I though Load and Reload sucked. After they cut their hair it was over. The new album is pretty good I think though.
