Need input: bulk coir attempt. Pics included!!!

I've had success with PF Tek method a couple times, but now I'm trying to expand my experiment to bulk.
So, I've tried following Daminions tek I think it is with the bucket and brick of coir + boiling water. My spawn was only 2 pint jars of BRF cakes crumbled. But I only used a little less than a fourth of a coir brick... Shit still expanded so much.
Well here is my progress:

They've been sitting in a trash bag in my closet for about 10 days.. Do they look contaminated at all? Or is it that with less initial spawn its just taking a lot longer to fully inoculate?
Any advice will be welcomed! Thank you, Shroomery community your awesome.

That's beautiful to hear.
To fruit should I take the whole cake out of the tray and put it on foil in a SGFC, PF Tek cake style, or just keep it in the tin tray?

I would keep it in the tray too. It will eat through the foil so if you can use two trays. I put my bulk bricks on a piece of foil doubled thick. It usually eats through the first piece of foil by the 2nd flush. Take a look at the link in my signature. I take my bricks out of the trays but that's because I use plastic ones to colonize in.

^^ that picture excites me considering your compost looks almost identical.
--> and I double tin tray'd the coir cake, the myc was already breaking through the first try....
... Incredible the powers of nature and its capabilities of breaking down our man made waste back into literal fertilizer... Why are we burning and burying trash again?!?

Sorry I came to the party so late, but I wouldn't have touched that thing with all those primordia. I hope you didn't knock too many of them off.

Okay so it's been 6 days and this is where I'm at...
What are these orange looking things that seem to appear?

There's yellow/oranging of the top of the cake but a good number of pins are pushing thru

I had an extra cake and it fit as well

The hell is this bluish green at the top? It seems to have stopped spreading. Yet there's still quite a pinset popping thru the bottom

The blue-green discoloration is bruising, most likely because your cake is dry but possibly damaged from by the process of removing it from its jar. Poke it and see if it's dry, and if it is mist heavily or give it a dunk. Make sure your perlite is wet, too.
The yellowish-brownish discoloration on your tray is metabolites, and combined with the incomplete colonization is probably an indicator of contamination, most likely bacterial. You'll still get some fruits out of it, but it won't be as good.

It's weird it looks less colonized then your pictures from 6 days ago. Maybe a little dry how often are you misting it. You could try bottom watering it. Whatever water doesn't absorb in a couple hours pour out and then in a few days you might see some increased vigor. There's some nice pins on it now though.

next time you use the tray tins, just line the bottom with a trash bag. or as you see the cake gets smaller with water and nutrient consumption. you can pick the cake up and put a plastic trash bag underneath so you don't have to worry about mycellium eating through the tin.
