I ventured North this weekend and was rewarded with good times and fun mushrooms. Wisconsin is a magical place where the people are kind and the brats are slathered in hot sauerkraut. A super big thank you to my host on sunday, you're the best dude!
I'm never quite sure whether or not to start with the heavy hitters here goes.
Psilocybe azurescens

Psilocybe cyanescens

Sarcomyxa serotina

Chlorociboria aeruginosa or aeruginascens

Flammulina

Piptoporus betulinus

Phellinus igniarius

Bisporella citrina

What a fun weekend! Cant wait for Morel season!

That Chlorociboria is as beautiful and iridescent as a tropical bird's feather.

I think Wiscokid (haven't seen him in a while) introduced them to Winsconsin.

Flammulina velutipes doesn't develop dark velvety stems until maturity. The only reason I'm not calling it F. velutipes is because it was on birch, and that's news to me. Cyptotrama asprata pins are conspicuously floccose and the lamellae are more distantly space, wider and decurrent not to mention slightly rugose to anastomosing. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Those are some cool mushrooms, especially the Azzies. Never would've seen them if it weren't for Wisco. I'm sure many others will enjoy finding them someday, they are THRIVING.
Also, I don't know how the hell you westys find those things with leaves on the ground! It's crazy hard.
