Yes.
Especially with the rich business owners. They pass it on to their kids.
I guess the poor have one too, can't afford education therefore Walmart/McDonald's
The middle class is pretty varied, kids don't normally do what their parents do

I'd say so. Upper class, money gets passed on like Patlal said. It's difficult to break out of poverty, more so when you have a family to support.

In anyway comparable to the caste system in India....no - I understand is losing it's place in the modern world, however it still holds weight and effects the way people behave towards others. IDK, I have to ask my parents, they work with a lot of Indian people in India and there are still some things you would probably be surprised about.
Americans are actually quite good about social boundaries compared to a lot of countries in the sense that...there really are none. We're very extroverted as a whole(at least, this is what I've gathered from foreigners who have told me they're surprised about how easily Americans converse with strangers, and how indiscriminate we are about people overhearing/we're loud as fuck), built on the ideal of rags to riches, and our cultural identity is very loosely defined or young. But the whole idea of a caste system is defined by something you are born into, and therefore stay as, and the whole American Dream bs thing totally contradicts that.
What we have is an insane, insane, insaaanely huge wealth gap. It's so large that the vast majority of us are lumped in with one another and there's not a huge difference until you get to the 5-1%ers. Wealth gap =/= caste system.

I don't think the respondents know what the word "caste" means.

Probably makes more sense to look at race over economic class, for example the way certain jobs seem to be done more by Mexicans and other people from Latin America. Obviously it's quite a bit different from India's caste system though.

No. A class system is not a caste system.
