Pitting in PC Question

Hey guys, I just moved into a new place and unfortunately I now have electric coil stove which probably won't support my AA. The thing is a tank. So i busted old my old 16 qt presto but unfortunately it has some slight pitting on the bottom. The holes are only a mm or so deep and just as wide.
Obviously when in doubt I should play it on the safe side. Was hoping some one could tell me the presto isn't useless. Otherwise I'm going to have to see if it can take a few jars with my 930.
Edit - a few of them are probably wider than a mm, but not much deeper

It's about as unstable as you can imagine, the coil has three sheets of metal forming a tripod. And the pieces "stand on edge" on very thin pieces. I don't think it can take 15 pounds or more

can you post a picture? Aluminum is an interesting material in that it oxidizes . The only realistic way it wouldn't be safe to use is if the pits you describe are actually chips of material flaking off along a crack in the pressure cooker. Aluminum typically doesn't just "crack" due to how ductile it is, but it's possible if it has seen significant oxidization. Water and heat (especially cyclic applications of both) can speed up the process which is pretty shitty considering a pressure cooker goes from room temperature air to boiling, pressurized water with glass jars rattling around inside, then back to room temperature air over and over. If you haven't used the PC very much then you're probably all set. If it's like 10 years old and has seen a thousand+ cycles of PC'ing, then I'd consider playing it safe or at least posting a picture

I think you'll be fine. That sounds exactly like my shitty stove, and my larger burner went out so I've been stuck using the smaller one for awhile and even it can handle my giant PCer. It takes about 30-45m to reach pressure, but it works.

Yea it doesn't seem structurally unsound, just small poc marks. It isn't in all that bad of condition I think I am having a little more anxiety than I'm used to starting up again. Clearly I am stressing over nothing

Your bigger one is 7 or 14 qts? If you're running a 14 qt on a small coil I probably don't have anything to worry about. My fear is that if one of those little sheets snaps, tips and boom
edit - holds 7 or 14 quart jars

I couldn't remember how big it is, I wanna say it's a 21 qt in volume. It will hold 7qt jars on the bottom and 10 total if you put 3 on top sideways. If you mean yours is 14qts as in it will hold 14 qt jars then you may have a problem if you were for some reason limited to the small burner, but I'd think it'd be fairly comparable to my situation now if using the bigger burner.
