i have no problem with copyright laws and and what the industry wants to do so i agree
but anon has been very vocal about standing up for the pirate bay and such, so i think its a bit counter-productive
im sure theres a bunch of legit anon's but the majority of people who show up to these march's i think dont represent them in a very positive way

Pretty much correct. It's just wildly frustrating that even people who know how fucked things are continue to mock and ridicule this kind of thing instead of having some kind of positive reinforcement or at least constructive criticism. Everything is a joke nothing is real here.
maybe people have difference of opinion on what constructive criticism is? make your own mask - constructive in my opinion (lol literally and figuratively
bring your own lunch- constructive in my opinion
Dude get of the mask shit. What the fuck does it have to do with currupt government, nsa, Monsanto etc...
not much? what does a protest have to do with it either, they need the government to stop this shit for them
i already avoid places that i dont support(which is incredibly small but thers a few)

hey here's an idea instead of fighting against things how about we work together to create new and better things. no one needs to be right or wrong we can just put our minds together to generate new ideas
or, we can just use all our energy to fight for our "opinions" and try to convince everyone that you're right and they're wrong
the choice is yours

what i mean, is if im against gmo's, i wont buy them - i do agree they should be labled though
looking back it was a kinda retarded statement on my part, because you cant really not support the nsa unless you stop using computers/phones ect
but they are a lot of small things you can avoid on your part, instead of protesting to make the government change the laws, at least when it comes to consumerism

okay heres a story. i grew up in a little run-down city in upstate new york. they manufactured the first super computers in the 1940s. the ones that were the size of giant garages. over the decades the city's economy went to shit, ghettos started cropping up everywhere, there was no more industry in the city and all the economic resources were outsourced to other areas. the place became a dump basically and hard drugs became rampant all over. my mom was addicted to crack for 15 years (clean for 8 years now).
but hey guess what, just this year they began building a fucking nanofacility at the SUNY college right behind the house my aunt and uncle own. literally in the backyard of my parent's house, they are building this educational research facility for nanotechnology. billions of dollars have been invested into turning this run-down hometown of mine into a giant nano-research center. the city just decided to invest everything into research for nanotechnology, in hopes to re-generate the city's long-lost innovative past.
this is something called "grass roots".
i don't know if it's just a personal thing because it's my hometown, and my whole memory of it is being a run-down boring crapland that everyone hates, but this is really touching to me. it gives me a lot of hope for the city i had no hope for, and moved far away to another state because of that lack of hope. it gives me hope for humanity. because if that shit ass city could turn itself around and look to nanotechnology to improve society, then fuck anything is possible.

Everytime I see some idiot with a Guy Fawkes mask Congrats you just delegitimized your position by using some dumb shtick from some movie 8 years ago, and gave a giant corporation money in the process! I even read like last week or something that the use of Guy Fawkes is intended to be ironic in V for Vendetta cause the real dumbass Guy Fawkes wanted to kill hundreds of people and install a Catholic hierarchy in London before he fucked up and was caught. No way I'd wanna protest next to these fools. Stop wearing that stupid fucking mask.
