Get out and vote? LOL because thats done a whole lot of good in past years, choosing the seemingly lesser of two evils who are in fact ONE

I must chuckle to myself because I do not believe voting makes any difference what so ever, just projects the mirage that we have a choice imho.

Since when is awareness meaningless? Like or not this "movement" is getting bigger and bigger. Sad that people makes jokes knowing the state of corporate government all over the world.
That wasn't my personal opinion, per se. I was guessing at B_boy's perspective.
I think it's great they are spreading awareness of issues. I think, however, that all successful social revolutions in history had a coherent point- That is, they all were united under a common idea.
The "occupy"/"anonymous" crowd seems to just be pissed off in general..
Great that they want to fill the streets with signs but until all of those signs say the same thing nothing will happen
Sure they have common themes like ending corruption and corporate personhood... but there don't seem to be any clear and resounding ideas that resonate with the public and are championed as a possible accomplishment of the cause

How do you unify all of the problems we face into one coherent point? In this stage of the game? The fact that there are so many issues is overwhelming for most.

You figure out WHY these problems exist in the first place and REMOVE the cause of the problems.

It doesn't matter if you have one point or many. All the problems we face require more than one solution. This is the beginning. For better or worse.

Not really it's a waste. The government wants to protect itself fist and foremost under all circumstances, if they were worried about anonymous everyone at the marches would get arrested. but they know that a bunch of people who won't even show their faces can't touch them. I'm not against anonymous either, but I don't think they will accomplish much the way they've done things. Not enough people have the guts to actually do something to stand against the government, not just speak out. Anyone can say go do, but not many will actually go and do it

They all want to expose corruption, remove the corrupt individuals, and get rid of the corrupt system.

if, indeed, the problem is that there are too many issues to pick one... then we need a complete overthrow of the government, and not enough people are upset with the system to the point of picking up a gun.
I truly believe they need to start organizing and picking a specific thing they want to change.

Exactly. My impression of a typical anon/occupy protestor:

This isn't something to laugh about, at least those standing up to our country have some integrity. Just because their marches probably wont solve anything doesn't mean its a wast if time. All movements start small. We should be looking up to those underage kids that are standing up to the government.

I wasn't saying that's what all of their signs say and i'm not laughing about it.
i'm saying that the current social uprising has failed to latch onto a single issue they want to change and historically that is how these things go.
if they really want to change that many things then none of it will get done until enough people are as pissed off as they are to start an armed revolution. it will eventually happen, but not any time soon.

Again what is with this "single unified cause" all about? Again this country and world face so many problems it's overwhelming for most to deal with so they simply ignore it. But when millions from all over the glob are out there say anything and everything its only positive.
