First time hunting - How is my area? And Hello!

Hi guys, new user, never hunted nor tried mushrooms before, trying to get a basic understanding of hunting and what to look for (Lib. caps in my case).
I think I live in a fairly decent area, close to many cowfields - the closest being a slope facing north, which hasn't had cows grazing on it for around 9 years, until recently. I live in Northern Ireland, North Down to be precise, weather is always humid and it rains often, cold but rarely below freezing. Any tips for what to look for would be greatly appreciated! I had a "test hunt" earlier when walking my dog, found plenty of LBM's along the way, wouldn't be able to tell which was which without closer inspection.
Wanted to get into shrooms for a while, I've always had an interest in psychedelics and Lib. Caps seem to be the way to go
Any help is great and I look forward to seeing you around the forums

Sometimes you get lucky, your first few hunts. For some it takes years of searching and experience.
I suggest; investing in a good field guide, learning the basic structures and traits of mushroom, learning how to spore print and searching here or your favorite search engine for information about the mushrooms you are looking for.
This link is to the sample ID request sticky. It, along with proper pictures, will show the information we need to know to help you with your future identifications.

That was a very kind response. I expected to see a ton of posts with links to the forum rules. I think the op broke almost every single rule of MH&I in his first post. Lol. Nicely done

research these species: Gymnopilus junonius** Panaeolus cinctulus* Psilocybe cyanescens** Psilocybe semilanceata*
here it's written with the Pacific Northwest in mind, but most of the info is valid for you as well.
