I put $2,000 into my account to invest with. I currently have multiple shares of Starbucks. What company's are worth looking into? I was thinking Costco as one.

Nothing wrong with SBUX, just keep a trailing stop and otherwise stay long.
Facebook (FB) is at an actionable buy point right now, in a strong uptrend, bouncing off of its 50 day moving average after having just reported earnings. Keep a stop below $47.50 and you should be good to go.
For another long term idea, Petrobras (PBR), a Brazilian oil stock, is also at a pretty nice buy point, having just reclaimed its 200 day moving averages after a prolonged downtrend that has been in place since 2008. Earnings were received favorably and the stock is now coming back to test the earnings breakout that occurred on October 28th. If the breakout holds, stay long.
For a more conservative long term cash flow play, I have been buying some AT&T (T), paying a 5% dividend yield at current prices and showing some signs of stabilization in a year long consolidation period that has seen the stock trade between $33 - $39 (presently smack dab in the middle of that range).
Another higher risk cash flow play that just reported earnings which indicate that the dividend is safe for the immediate future, is Prospect Capital (PSEC), yielding 11.6%.
Other strong stocks with stable upside momentum include Priceline (PCLN) and Netflix (NFLX).
Strong stocks that are in a recovery/turnaround phase include Teck Resources (TCK) and Deckers (DECK).
Here listed are stocks in the tech, oil and mining, telecom, private equity and retail spaces. If you are a "hands off" longer term investor, remember to diversify your assets across a few sectors. If you are an active day trader with a smaller account, you will probably not be as concerned with diversification but make sure you implement good risk management techniques that allow you to clearly define your risk in any trade you take, so that you can cut your losers early and let your winners ride.
Disclosure: Long FB, PBR, T, PSEC, TCK, (wishing I was long SBUX )
