Hello good people. Hope your making use of the remaining days in lib season. Had 1 frost and hoping there might still be a few remaining for tomorrow.
Anyway,
Whilst picking many lib caps I noticed some odd looking ones amongst. Please look and tell me if if these are liberty caps. They were in a field where many libs were scattered.
Cheers!

I'm pretty sure these two are, can you get a better photo of them?

Well they looked a lot like them I thought. The bottom of the cap was sealed to the stalk though which I thought was unusual.
Those are the two best pictures I cold produce I'm afraid. Both pictures are the same arrangement of mushrooms - just with the paper spun around. Sorry if I sound patronising, not my intention, I just thought I would clarify that for any who may not have noticed.

I would say all but the 2 on the far right look good to go, the farthest right looks a bit old. The biggun' next to it may just be a massive liberty cap.

Yeah I have a feeling they are massive libs. Ah well I'll grab the wee ones on the end.

Yeah especially if you had a good haul, I wouldn't mess with the questionables. Those closed up ones are prime though, and the two brown-ish colored ones in the center.

I think there's only poentially 4 libs there. I don't think those big white ones are. They look similar to the ones I see in lib fields and they're not Libs.

Thanks. Although, they aren't white. They are that beigey shade that you see on libs that are starting to dry out. Perhaps the paper is reflecting white onto them.
