To dunk or not to dunk (PF cakes)

Soo I've seen a lot of opinions on dunking and rolling cakes before birthing to FC after full colonization/consolidation, and I've also heard people who do not suggest dunk before birthing to FC. Can I get some opinions on this to try nailing it down if I should or shouldn't dunk before birthing. If you could also provide some reasoning to why that'd be great!
thanks in advance.

Ive done it both before the first flush and after, just make sure they are 100% colinized if dunking and rolling.. i have found dunking before the first flush greatly increases size, but have oftendunked without rolling, i javent noticed a huge difference from rolling butany swear by it..

Consolidate before you dunk and roll, available moisture/genetics is what makes the diff in fruit size

water is a big factor in fruit size and flushes. more water the better the pinset and fruits so long as the genetics are right so dunk and roll after consolidation week.

Dunk before first flush, if Pfing around. Most of your moisture is going to be used up during the consolidation period. My favorite way to tell when my cakes need dunking is to feel how light/heavy they are. You can tell when a cake is dry just by feeling it's weight.

Cakes are done on the dry side to start with and not at field capacity so dunking kicks ass

I only honestly don't think I've ever heard suggest not dunking before birthing. Dunk and roll for best results

When I was using the search it might have been old/outdated threads and information so that might be why.
Thanks guys!

How can you dunk bulk after a first flush? You mean just spray it down?

Absolutely without question...dunk and roll your cakes.
Cakes are made a bit on the dry side from the get-go. They will continue to dry a little while in fruiting. And your fruits will drain even more moisture.
Moisture and genetics are the 2 main influences on fruit size.

Without going in to reasons why or why not to dunk a bulk sub, you can stick a piece of PVC through the holes of your monotub. Pour water in the tub. The PVC will keep it from floating.
You can also put a tub with weight in it on top of the sub and then pour water in.
