Hey guys. Do you know of any good bands on tour currently or coming up soon. Preferably kind of trippy, I'm into a lot of classic rock but I like new stuff too. Or good festivals, Im in the NorCal area btw. Any suggestions?
EDIT: Also post your favorite concert experiences if you feel like it

Christian Mistress, Red Fang, Truckfighters, ASG, Clutch. There isn't really much trippiness in these bands, but they are touring (or are about to start touring/doing some shows) and they are great bands.

They're coming by providence soon I believe.. I listened to some youtube vids but just wasnt getting into them.. Theyre a jam band like Grateful dead correct? They came around near my college recently but the tickets were kind of pricy and I couldnt get anyone motivated to go with me... But i hear a decent amount of people on the internet raving about them..

I wouldn't classify Umphrey's as just a jam band, although they very well may play some jammy esque songs. I am by no means a die hard fan of the group, but every time I have seen them perform I have left the venue feeling like I just saw some of the most talented musicians playing today. They are more of a progressive rock/jam band that leans a little more on the heavy side. In the three days I saw them they literally played all styles of music so you never really know what to expect.
Also, probably the best light show I have ever seen. The lights the band uses are just beautiful and are perfectly synced to the music.
