Oysters and puffballs?
    #19084657 - 11/04/13 09:24 AM (10 years, 2 months ago)

First pictures are of a variety of puffball. Just want to confirm this is one of the edible ones. Smells very mild. Solid and white on inside. Found growing on down hardwood but it a conifer heavy area.

Second set look and smell like oyster. White spore print. They were growing on poplar.  At first they were more delicate than ones we use at the restaurant, but now as 24 hours has passed they are nearly identical to a restaurant oyster.

Yeah, you'll be perfectly fine, they are both good edibles.

I was 99.9% positive. They were both delicious. The puffs are pretty mild though so might be a good one for making mushroom stock or shroom based sauces.
