Notice to SP (subsequent posters): most organizations have an "Agenda" or they wouldn't really have bothered organizing, would they?
My aunt got cancer from my uncle's pipe smoking a while back. It was extremely traumatic for the whole family and our network of family friends.
My uncle quit cold turkey the day they found out what my aunt's problem was.
There are things that we really should take seriously.
Am I going to quit, again? Yes. Will I still have a cig when I'm drunk and barhopping? I'm sure but next time I wake up next to a pack of Marlboro Reds, I'm going to toss them.

Guys... quit bothering them with science, even if its only tangential to the issue. You're seriously disrupting natural selection here.

I mean it's not like I'd ever advocate smoking cigarettes, I used to be very against them and didn't start smoking until about a year ago. It's a horrible, disgusting habit and it's foolish to even start.
It's just annoying when people make claims they can't back up.

Of course there is no obvious link between tobacco and breast cancer... how about you find a study talking about the correlation between tobacco and lung cancer, instead.
I know you haven't approved of any sources of data shown yet, but maybe you'll trust wikipedia.
Health effects of tobacco
"Tobacco is the single greatest cause of preventable death globally.[3] Tobacco use leads most commonly to diseases affecting the heart, liver and lungs, with smoking being a major risk factor for heart attacks, strokes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) (including emphysema and chronic bronchitis), and cancer (particularly lung cancer, cancers of the larynx and mouth, and pancreatic cancer). It also causes peripheral vascular disease and hypertension. The effects depend on the number of years that a person smokes and on how much the person smokes. Starting smoking earlier in life and smoking cigarettes higher in tar increases the risk of these diseases. Also, environmental tobacco smoke, or secondhand smoke, has been shown to cause adverse health effects in people of all ages.
[Cigarette] Smoke contains several carcinogenic pyrolytic products that bind to DNA and cause many genetic mutations. There are 45 known or suspected chemical carcinogens in cigarette smoke."
Definition of carcinogen: a substance capable of causing cancer in living tissue.
Cigarette companies even put WARNINGS on their labeling stating that , yet people must think they're joking.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tobacco_packaging_warning_messages#United_States_of_America
- Caution: Cigarette Smoking May be Hazardous to Your Health (1966–1970) - Warning: The Surgeon General Has Determined that Cigarette Smoking is Dangerous to Your Health (1970–1985) - SURGEON GENERAL'S WARNING: Smoking Causes Lung Cancer, Heart Disease, Emphysema, And May Complicate Pregnancy. nicotine is extremely dangerous in a pure concentration a few drops on your skin can kill a heavy smoker. one drop can kill a child or elderly...
also if you pointing out other things are unhealthy in tobacco other than nicotine, why can't you understand that nicotine (not tobacco) is not very addictive??
its is very clear that you are not very knowledgeable on nicotine, a subject you appear to have so much interest in. such a shame.

for cancer http://jnci.oxfordjournals.org/content/91/14/1194.full There I'm reading these ones I'm a quarter of the way through this one (its really long) and I found this interesting Quote:
Fewer than 20% of smokers will get lung cancer (38). Susceptibility will depend in part on the balance between carcinogen metabolic activation and detoxification in the smokers. This is an important area requiring intense further study.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2127653/pdf/9365295.pdf I only read the abstract on this one
