stacking 125ml cakes

Hi everybody, i'm at my fist grow and i'm using the brf cake tek in a sgfc, but I mistakenly bought some bernardin 125ml wide mouth jar. I inoculated 12 of them anyway 5 days ago and now it'showing some myc growth. I read on this forum that smaller cake equal smaller yield but faster colonisation.
My question is: what if i stack 2 cake together, it will give me equal 6X250ml cakes with a faster colonisation but will it gave me a normal yield?
What do you think?? myc should blend together?

You should be able to. If they do come apart after the first flush I'd just leave them apart though rather than trying to restack them.

The only thing that gives you more yeild is more cakes/surface area, you can just fit more stacking

so it's faster this way, colonising in 125ml jar and stack them for fruiting, it become the same surface area... i guess

It's not really surface area, just the amount of substrate. I've fruited trays in a SGFC and fruited the same substrate as cakes and the yield is pretty much the same despite the extra surface area. Although I acknowledge that fruiting cakes out of jars seems to lower the yield
