Finds after maritime storm
    #19081429 - 11/03/13 05:07 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

We recently had a storm that brought the temperatures way up and then they went way down over night so my aunt and her boyfriend and I decided to go picking so we went to a spot the old timers were talking about and wow! Lots of huge mushrooms!

also how to you tell the difference between p stictipes and semilianceata? i heard spore print id like to try to make a dstinction because we went out to two fields and they(semilanceata)were at both, but then those big ones seemed different a little they were also all very dark when we found them (pretty boggy with bull rushes) and we assumed it was just habitat differences but they were just really big

no habitat shots, was thinking about it but we got to caught up in the massive amounts of mushrooms there was lots of bullrush and clumps of grass and the really big ones came from pretty soggy grass/bullrush mix
it seemd like the dead bullrushes built up a layer of "straw that was elevated in some spots from the watery ground and you could just see mycelium running all through it some was even blue. The place had been used as pasture land about ten years ago
