I don't think they're the same. I don't know very much about the effects of light on mushrooms, but oysters and enoki definitely get more pigment with increased light and are white when grown in the dark, and this makes sense to me because presumably making pigment has some cost to the mushroom and in the dark it makes less difference. It does explain the fuzzy stems, though.
A spore print would help with the identification.

You probably have 2 different species of Mycena there.
In the SF bay area I never find Mycenas in grass, but further north they are pretty common.

Ok i cut a couple caps and placed them on white paper, never took a spore print but its nice to learn how so this should be fun, main question is im curious if they have any psycoactive properties to them

You were told what they are. They are Mycena species and there are no psychoactive drugs in them.

B: They will drop spores until the gills are almost completely decomposed or they dry out. (This may not be totally true as it is speculative reasoning. I don't know how many spores a single basidium can produce or its life expectancy)
A: White paper was probably a bad choice to spore print on because Mycenae have white spores.
Try using a sheet of foil next time for spore prints.

Portaldweller,
The title of your post is: "Oregon Coast Mushroom Identification needed". Even though you did not even bother to post a proper ID request, you were still told what they are. The fact that you were a) too dumb or b) too lazy to use Google, or in too much of a hurry to wait more than 30 minutes to see whether someone would answer your question about them being active speaks volumes about your arrogance. This is a free service man, enjoy it for what it is or go somewhere else.
