"Tyvek Sleeves" from Out Grow Melt in PC
    #19079824 - 11/03/13 11:07 AM (10 years, 2 months ago)

Hello,

I Just started growing using RR style saw dust bags and purchased tyvek sleeves from Shroomery Sponsor Out Grow. Link to Sleeves They claim to be "Recycled Tyvek material patented by DuPont" but apparently they are not actually manufactured bu DuPont because they melted to my bags. I am not the first person this has happend to, I used the search engine and found another member in the same situation. melted tyvek

Sorry if I sound like a little bitch complaining but I thought I would put out a warning maybe to help prevent this from happening to more folks. It is very frustrating even if they do refund the money they cannot refund my time.

If they are melting then they are not made of tyvek. Tyvek melts at around 275 degrees. That would mean bringing your pc up to 32 psi.  They must mix some other plastic in when they recycle them that is not heat stable.  Thanks for letting everyone know.

Same thing happened to me the other day. I sent them an email but haven't heard back yet.

Definitely not Tyvek if they melted.  I've used mine over and over again hundreds of times.
