Painting and Tripping 1

How many of you do this? I highly suggest this to anyone even those with zero artistic ability. By far the best tripping activity i have ever engaged in. I never painted before in my life but ever since I've started dating my current gf she'll bust out the paints when we trip and it's just beautiful. The entire experience is full of metaphors. Every stroke reveals infinite possibilities and you just keep going and going until hours later you look at it and it's something entirely different than you started with. Get yourself some real canvas though. Those fibers will guide you on all kinds of journeys that plain paper wont
Just thought I would share this discovery with all the virgins for I once too did not know of this beautiful synergy I've been doing it for a few months now and it's like the only thing I want to do when I'm tripping now. Just some nice music and paints. It sometimes takes a moment to get started, but once you get momentum it carries itself along. Sometimes i just start drawing the shapes i see and even though they keep changing i eventually start connecting dots and they start to form a real image. Sometimes they just stay abstract, but every time it's a beautiful experience

I'd like to try this!
If you read books you should try writing. Or just read books. (early 1900s/1800s are the best).

Very interesting, would you be open to posting some of your art here? I'd be interested to see some paintings made while actually tripping.

Painting and Tripping definitely sounds better than Fainting and Tripping.
I'd like to see art too ^

Lol I didn't say I was any good! My paintings are quite derpy and mostly unfinished because I haven't committed to working on them outside of tripping lately. Maybe when I finish one or get a little further in my current one I'll post one. I'm by no means an artist though :P I'm just saying its the most enjoyable trip activity I've found and I recommend it regardless of skill or the final product. It's the act itself that makes it worth it

I've only ever sketched with pencil, pen, or used colored pencil when I'm tripping. I've never used paint or a canvas, but it sounds incredible! I would love to try it.
I agree though, you should post some of your art!

It doesn't matter how derpy it looks! I would be quite surprised if I saw a beautiful finished piece and then was told that the creator was tripping when he/she made it. Regardless of how silly or amateur it looks, it's still a physical portrayal or record of what someone was thinking while experiencing a psychedelic, which is super cool.

Haha alright alright I'll post my current work soon. I may wait a week or two to take my LSZ and spend more time on it before posting it. It's not really going to give any kind of feel for the process so don't get caught up on it

Is this with low doses? I not familiar with lsd but will soon be embarking on my first.. Does it not floor you like shrooms do? To get creative on shrooms it'd have to be a pretty low dose.

Hard to say. I generally paint on the comedown because that's when i feel most inspired. But i have painted on 5 hits of decent acid. That was actually when i started doing this. It really doesn't matter, the whole point is that you don't have to think much. You just follow what you see and let it flow and as you're doing that you will draw connections between your strokes and new ideas will emerge.

I've drawn on 4g of mushrooms. It can be done. It's amazing how easy your mind gets blank when you just start. It is as though the substance takes control of your hand and you are just a tool for it to express what needs to be expressed. It's pretty automatic. This is what makes it amazing.
The drawing I posted was on 3,5 hits of acid at around the 4 hour mark.

I really like your use of line and color! The way your strokes and linework looks gives an impression of soft yet playful movement. I really like how things in the drawing seem to "drip", which is a bit similar to the effects I get on LSD. This reflects in my art sometimes too.
Keep up the good work! Drawing while tripping is very wonderful!

This thread might be two weeks old now, but it should be a sticky, so here we go, my latest doodles started on 4g of cubes and continued later:

Wow, that's beautiful! I love the use of color, and again your variation in lines is very unique. Mushrooms can inspire the most interesting art sometimes!

Yeah it makes it scary to continue sober. But I guess I have to trust that it can come out even without extraordinary serotonin stimulation.
