As Terrance McKenna said, life is a problem to be solved, it's a conundrum. IT'S NOT WHAT IT APPEARS TO BE, there are locks and keys, there are doors there are levels and if u get it right it will somehow give way to something unexpected

I know that doesn't help, but it's something.

You do.  Those that raised you gave you some baselines and ideas of what is right and wrong based off of what they learned throughout their life.  But in the end you make that decision.  Others around you may not agree with your outlook on right and wrong, but doesn't mean either one of you is more correct.

If you wanted life to be easy then you should have been born into a rich family.

I don't think it is hard, it just has a tendency to go to shit on some people ie. mental or physical illness. A human being doesn't need much, not really more than itself besides the obvious food-water-shelter. Of course you can choose to aim much higher than that; develop skills, interests, social standing etc. but it is not really intrinsically hard... something is wrong in your life, that is all. After it is resolved, it will be easy.

On McKenna's quote, it's a very interesting and deep quote. See we are not just in some plain ordinary universe, we are not in the picture science gives us, we are caught in something very interesting and it will respond to you, even if it doesn't really seem to respond to others. Most people are asleep you see, they take life to be what it appears to be and that's it, nothing really gets stacked on that. But it is a construct of some kind that is very aware of human minds and interests.

The ego believes that life should be hard because the ego is the one that judges. Instead of forgiving itself and it's fellow beings, it condemns. The ego then believes life must be hard in order for you to appreciate the "good" in life. "Good" and "bad" are defined by the ego, as are all other dualities and their borders and limits.

Doing things isn't the hard part, it's thinking about them that is difficult. Change your mind and in turn your world will change. Transcend the ego. Treat all circumstances as a test and lesson simultaneously. Take responsibility for your life. When you truly awaken and see things as they really are, when you completely forgive yourself and all others, when you cease to judge, when you cease to react negatively to any and all events, then these negative circumstances will no longer occur. Your life will then seem to become something of a miracle. A miraculous dream.

My lifes pretty easy at the moment. I don't have to do anything other than go to college, and make a bit of money on the side. I like college and the course that I'm doing. I have problems, but they're buried down in my subconscious, they don't arise day to day. Lifes pretty good right now, but I do get shit periods. I have this issue with akathisia which is a long lasting polydrug withdrawal symptom, I've been using antihistamines and nicotine to block it, but I'm gonna have to stop taking antihistamines and nicotine and just tough it out soon enough.

You do.  Those that raised you gave you some baselines and ideas of what is right and wrong based off of what they learned throughout their life.  But in the end you make that decision.  Others around you may not agree with your outlook on right and wrong, but doesn't mean either one of you is more correct.

I believe this to be the truth for the most part.

But we must also consider biological factors. Possibly even a mental illness passing through the family could determine a lot. A mentally retarted individual may have a major difficulty understanding the concept of money when conversely an average individual may have a great understanding. Furthermore, an individual with anxiety may find it hard to associate with other people when conversely an average individual may become popular.

With that said, I do believe in a sort of self actualization. At some time in your life you develop a belief system or a philosophy about things. And only when you truly believe in it will you be set free.

I believe in free will.

Someone may have influenced your life when they raised you but perceptions can change throughout a lifetime.
