Yeah, I've had small fruits due to stripping the plastic, but the reason they are leggy like that is either FAE or low light. That won't change if you take the plastic off.

Most strains I've used will fruit in the holes, many will fruit in the holes and also fruit in other areas of the bag. If I see fruiting away from the holes I will carefully slice a bit of plastic away to let it grow out, and it will recover nicely, you just have to keep an eye on your bags.
Taking the plastic off isn't a good idea imo, unless you can babysit it, you run the risk of the log getting too dry, or alternatively getting soaked.

Great point about the logs getting too dry, I've noticed that on this one. I'm definitely getting another set of lights today.

Now that I know the tent will hold humidity with the holes it has I'm going to put a few bigger slits in, hopefully that will increase FAE as well.

A little off topic but I'm wondering if my fan is necessary, i figured it would help get FAE in the tent but maybe it will get in anyway. Save on that electrical bill if I can.

They are growing out the holes!!!!!!!! [Re: kushrooms]

I just wanted to post an update and say thanks, the mushrooms are popping out through the holes. I'll update with some photos tonight, I figured out why my pics were so damn huge.

Although I made this one as tight as possible it looks like a few pinned elsewhere but it appears most are going out through the holes, I hope I grow some monsters.

Too rr's credit I definitely see some growing away from the holes but the majority are coming out of them....so excited. I've got my biggest log yet on the way but I hope my flying saucer and the chunky guy next to him fruit we'll.
