Panaeolus cinctulus rarely blue more than a very little.

Panaeolus cyanescens seems quite reasonable. They are surely one of the psilocybian Pan. species in any event, and look like a potent one.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

Thanks for the response!  I'm glad to hear that you're confident they are all edible psilocybian pan. Species!  More pictures to come soon!

Here's one that I'm questioning.  It became a totally different color than all the others.  Take a look...

Panaeolus subgenus Copelandia, you may need microscopy to know exactly which one.  The one you are questioning looks like a different Panaeolus, not sure which one.

Regardless, are all of those species edible?

There are no poisonous Panaeolus species, possibly hard to digest though.

Here's some more pictures of the one's I was questioning.

Also found a totally different species.  I don't plan on consuming it because I found plenty of pans.  Thought I might share some pictures though in case anyone knows about it...

The Panaeolus could be papilionaceus var. parvisporus or maybe something like P. goossensiae.  I'm not sure what others species you could consider, maybe P. paludosus?  The ones with the really white stems might be something else though, maybe Psathyrella, I can't quite tell from that picture.  The others are an Agaricus species.

Great to hear, thank you.  Here are the rest of the pictures from my hunt.  Also ended up finding some Psilocybin species this morning...

And all the pans we found...

Also, I think we were just a bit too late to some spots.  Found so many areas, and pieces of cow dung that looked like this...

In total we had just under 100 grams of mushrooms.  Split them up between 4 people and had a very comfortable level 3 trip.  Thanks for all who posted

Wild Psilocybe cubensis in Okinawa? I didn't know that was possible! Could they be Psilocybe capitulata? Cool!

I will confess something that should be quite obvious, CC.  I love mushrooms, i.e. fungi.  I really do.  I am talking about a strong feeling, i.e. emotion, for them.  I think they are beautiful.  I even dream of them.

I guess they could be P. capitulata, I haven't heard of it before, anyone want to say how exactly its different from P. cubensis?

Though, he's finding other stuff you'd expect bloodworm to find and its not that cold there...

Nice finds.
I can already see spore vendors rubbing their hands, there have been no Japanese P. cubensis or Panaeolus species in circulation yet. You should take spore prints from as much specimens as you can.
