That voice
    #19073364 - 11/02/13 01:53 AM (10 years, 2 months ago)

Just a quick thought.... that voice in your mind definitely gets louder when you take mushies. All the way from first time to frequently, over a period of time especially. .. now, regardlessly if I'm on 'em or not , I think way more and with more powerful thoughts. It feels more and more like, for 30 years I've been asleep.. if that's the case then, WoW!

the first time i took mushrooms, i went in to some sort of trance that lasted about 15 minutes where i could see someone sitting next to me in my prepherial vision and they were speaking to me about all kinds of secrets (which i forgot upon realizing i was hearing a voice from someone that was not even there **at least not in this plane of existence**) it was an older man's voice.  strange!  but very awesome and powerful.  :awesome:

I really don't get much of a "voice" whilst thrippeng.  Understanding comes to me in the form of a hiss, hiss being a gross simplification of the concept, but the experience seems simplistic anyway.  Behind the noise, behind the silence, behind your yammering brain something is there, or at least I can "hear" it better on fun fungus... I try to tune the moron in my head as much as possible  and focus on the hiss that makes me see, makes me think, makes me move.  :insano:

I think I can relate to this "hiss" you speak of... when I take mushrooms, I can feel all the information creeping into my head with a strange static-like noise. The fungus definitely plants its mycelium in my brain!

Also, there is 4d matrix I "see" as a layer between me and the world, even on the back of my eyelids.  I like to think that it is the rumble of a new psychosocial revolution, but then I think I'm jus' trippin'.

Yes, I'm sure people talking about their EXPERIENCE know nothing about it.

Obviously you're the only you know what happens to other people when they take psychedelics.

edit: Your signature..."open mind, open heart". For a one sentence post that discounts other's opinions/experiences and expresses hate all at once, you definitely seem to be sticking to that motto quite well.

Having an open mind does not mean that you believe every stupid post on a drug message board, having an open heart has a double meaning and being an open book is something that can only be observed on a wider spectrum than you could possibly know with your 2013 membership.

I'm not saying that their experiences are invalid, just that they are processing their experiences in a way that shows that they have no knowledge about the nature of a psychedelic experience, or even the mind itself, yet choose to make statements about their opinions of what everyone must experience during a trip, as if they know that we all must be just like them. The psychedelic experience is much further reaching than what these people are discussing. They seem childish and ill informed. They are operating on the level of a two year old child, just realizing that people see things differently.

Speaking of 'voice in your head,' sometimes when I'm tripping super hard, like while on 20 dry grams, I can't distinguish whether or not I'm talking just in my head or if I'm actually speaking out loud. I'm pretty sure it's the latter, haha.  :blah: OBE's are pretty crazy.

Just because it's not the same belief as yours doesn't mean you automatically discount it as stupid. That's not an open mind. And obviously anyone who hasn't joined this forum as long ago as you doesn't understand a thing.

And obviously these people aren't making an account of what they have experienced, but saying what they experienced is what everyone else MUST experience.

Please at least take a minute to think about what you are saying before you try to sound elitist and better than everyone. You end up just sounding like an asshole. Thank you.

I love listening to the silence while tripping. I get bombarded with sound clips. Stuff that I can't even make out. It seems like I'm hearing sounds from my memory, things that I've heard through my whole life all mashed up. Voices of random strangers saying random things or just making verbal sounds.

I've tried to imitate the sounds with my voice. On my last trip I recorded myself doing that.. pretty bazaar. It was a good thing I was alone. I could hear what sounded like a football stadium full of people chanting something. I started chanting in a loud radio announcer voice, like a cheer leader "Rah rah rah, rah re re. Re re rah. Re rah... It felt great!

I have been doing research on what you are referencing here for about a year now, and that 4d field of buzzing "mad molecules" is an experience that has been described by people in art, philosophy, and so on for thousands of years. Its even represented in some of the oldest works of art known. As I'm sure you've intuited during/after the experience, it is the "substrate" from which all sense impressions arise. When you see it as a sort of indistinct haze, it seems that you are seeing the sort of feedback loop created by the many impressions of it being stacked on top of one another in rapid succession, but in those very deep and still moments the "4d matrix" is revealed in its full glory, totally unrestrained, random color and form with a beauty unparalleled by anything in the pale, lifeless waking world.

It could be the beginnings of a psychosocial revolution if enough people learned to notice it (it can be easily done sober, no psychedelics needed), and learned about its function. It is the key to understanding how the "outside world" is actually very much an inner world, simply the projection that takes form when the 4d matrix you speak of is blurred.

I made tea out of them. :sip: It took two huge cups worth of water to get all the actives out. I chugged both of them, ha. Honestly, I don't think the mushrooms were as potent as they should've been, because it was my last flush, and they didn't bruise a whole lot when I picked them.

Thank you.  This is some of the best wordings I can relate to as far as this subject, and I have tried to talk about it to a few only to be met with the same stare I give other people who are rambling senselessly about their trip theories.  The thing is that this is only partially connected to drugs, maybe not even significantly.  It is a sort of thing that has been a theme to my worldview for as long as I can remember, well before I began using drugs.

I will say that these sort of introspective persuits probably made me more prone to drug use, but I don't think the drugs caused me to think like this.

The voice in my head says some hilarious things when I do mushrooms. Usually nonsensical words like hooveyshava or wambolina

--------------------
"As I walk on through troubled times my spirit gets so downhearted sometimes so where are the strong and who are the trusted? And where is the harmony? Sweet harmony. Cause each time I feel it slippin' away, just makes me wanna cry. What's so funny 'bout peace love & understanding?" - Nick Lowe

I apologize for straying from the topic, but I like the discussion in this thread.  One thing I notice about how mushrooms change my perspective is that they will make the line between weird and normal non-existant.  I'm not saying I wouldn't join you in a laughing fit over some hooveybolina but I may as well hear anything, because even normal words seem completely absurd.

That is perhaps why I seek out and find solace in the whispering (or sometimes rumbling) undercurrents to sensation most people know as silence, death, stillness, empty space.  It is the part of existence that seems to transcend the self.  It is there and it does seem to say things, even if it uses no words.
