I'm thinking these are Mycena Strobilinoides
    #19072719 - 11/01/13 10:57 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

Habitat: Mixed forest floor appeared to be growing out of moss in grassy area.

Gills:
Gills appeared yellow and attached.

Stem:
2-3 cm long, orange, and a couple mm thick. Very small mushroom.

Cap:
Cap was orange, convex to conical (more the latter), probably less than a cm diameter. I have my pinky nail next to it for comparison.

Spore print color:
I didn't get one on this one.

Bruising:
None noticed.

Hygrocybe species.  Perhaps Hygrocybe miniata.

Darn I was so close but SO far. That was my second guess (hygrocybe just couldn't find one that looked quite like it) Now that I've looked at the different variations of miniata though I think your spot on. I'll figure them out eventually. Did you see the one I thought was a Cort? Thanks Lhun.

Your welcome!  I still might be wrong... there are a few Hygrocybe that it could be.  I guess even with a microscope some of them are hard to tell apart.  But for our sake I think its close enough!

I have not seen your other post yet.  Just browsing what I missed out on now.
