Does making a tea actually reduce nausea?

I've had multiple experiences with mushrooms, and all of these times I had wonderful trips from just ingesting the dry mushies. My boyfriend and I both experience significant gastrointestinal discomfort on mushrooms, and I was reading a few recipes for mushroom tea. The nausea never produces a bad trip, but it is an annoying side effect that both of us wish we didn't have to worry about.
I'd like to hear some first-hand advice, does anybody notice significant reduction of nausea when ingesting tea instead of the dry mushrooms?

im not 100% sure on this but i think nausea is caused from eating beforehand. i've trip on an empty stomach on many occasions and noticed a significant decrease in nausea, sometimes almost completely nonexistent.

I have heard this, but after trying them on an empty stomach I still got nausea. Perhaps it's just my stomach?

Usually at least 4 hours empty. It's not completely intolerable, it's just a bit undesirable.

I haven't tried them in tea (or at all actually) but I've had the thought that maybe the nausea is caused by a separate strictly fat soluble alkaloid within the shrooms? Hence why, unless you eat the left over mush at the bottom, tea reduces or entirely removes nausea?

I always add fresh ginger to my tea. Zero nausea and a smooth trip.

I think it's actually that the HEAT in from the hot water in the tea helps kill some of unwanted nasties (bacteria) that would otherwise upset the flora in your empty tummy. Doesn't always work, but much better than eating dry.

Yes, mostly. There can still be some nausea on come up but it's smooth on the stomach. I almost always do tea. At higher doses it's the only way, mushroom tissue is fiberous.

Tea will definitely decrease the nausea, but I think the nausea is just part of the Mushroom come up. I find with Mushrooms, it's a lot like a trial. You have to overcome Hell to reach Heaven. the tea definitely helps, but I can guarantee it'll still be there. Regardless, I prefer doing a Lemon Tek/Tea type combo over eating them any day, it's the only way I'll take Mushrooms these days. Tea all the way.

Thanks everyone! I'll probably test out the tea soon, and then a lemon tek. It sounds like a nice experience, and I just love how psilocybin makes me feel!
I do plan on trying higher(>4g) doses in the future, so the tea will probably help.

This may be a little bit extreme for you but think about giving this a trychange you're diet around up the raw vegetables and fruit 80% fruits and vegi's 20% your normal diet 3 days before your trip.

The chitin in mushrooms is what most frequently causes nausea for people. By making tea and removing the solids, you eliminate the chitin content. There are other things about mushrooms and the experience that CAN cause nausea, but usually it's the chitin.

I don't get why people dislike the taste. I actually love the taste of dried. I don't like food mushrooms but I like the taste of dried shroomies. I think they taste like peanut butter.

It's not the initial taste of the dried mushies, I actually kind of enjoy the taste too. (Although I'm allergic to peanut butter... they taste more like dusty white mushrooms to me lol)
It's the nausea that usually comes in during the peak that I'm trying to avoid, not the taste of the chewy things. haha

I once did 100 wet grams in tea, and never felt nauseous one bit. Dry shrooms make me gag because of the taste and consistency, but tea has always worked well for me.

hmm I think I perceive the nausea differently than other people. The only thing I have noticed during the come up is butterflies in my stomach or the few times I have taken more than 3 grams I have this feeling sort of like lightheaded but more floaty. The people I know who get nauseous seem to think tea is a good route and you definitely feel it as much from what I've heard.

100 grams, wow! I've actually never eaten wet psilocybin mushrooms, but that still sounds like quite a hefty dose. Must've been an interesting experience!
I love your sig by the way, Syd is the best!
