Low Spawn:Sub ratio, or try a G2G?

I'm attempting a monotub for my next grow, and planned everything out for 6qt of spawn, aiming for a spawn:sub ratio of around 1:2.
I had a syringe from about a year ago (kept in a box in the fridge), and got a fresh syringe as well, so I'd have enough.
I nocced up 6qt of WBS (3 of the old, 3 of the new).
It's been just about 3 weeks, and the jars that got the new spores are basically fully colonized (it's been a little cold, but they're doing well), while there is absolutely zero growth in the jars with the old spores.
I'm assuming that the old spores were bunk, because I'd have to see at least SOMETHING after 3 weeks, right? There's no contams, they were all prepped at the same time, those old ones just aren't doing anything at all.
SO, what kinds of risks are there in moving forward with just the 3qts? Would there be a problem with a spawn:sub ratio closer to 1:4? I feel like that would increase the risk of contams, but I don't know.
I was thinking of maybe trying a G2G to get back to my ideal 6qts. Is that more of a risk than a low spawn:sub ratio?
Thanks!

I think you can stretch those 3 qts into 24 qts.
Think about it.

G2G is super fast. You can have a bunch more colonized jars in about 10 days. That's your best option. A low spawn ratio is a bad idea

G2G only takes 4-6 days to fully colonize with a vigorous culture. In the long run, it will save you more time than going with a 1:4+ ratio. That said, 1:4 is perfectly acceptable. If pasteurized properly, your sub will be highly resistant to molds while it is colonized. Oh, BTW Spore germination rates go waaay down after long periods of time like that.

Thanks for the answers! Think I'll go ahead and do a G2G tonight.
Wish me luck!
