Tough ID of new patch, help?
    #19071978 - 11/01/13 08:21 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

Hi all,

I found this patch near a flooded area where I live.

Don't know if active, looks like that rumoured p. quebecensis

But I'm a total newb, anyone know what kind these could be?

Small shrooms, beige but brown at full maturity, veils like on cubes, same color as caps...

Some were picked before flattening and you see they are more pale.

It was very wet today and they were a little soggy but they were also harvested late I think.

Found a branch with tiny babies on it, almost translucid.

Can't get prints unfortunatly

Here are aome pics, thanks

Wont let me zoom the pics says deleted. My guess is they COULD be Ovoids. Psyilocybe Ovoideocystidiata. Any bruising?

About pics not zooming, I'll try to fix, have to read "how to post pictures again"

Thanks for the reply

But this may change your mind:

No bruising
Regular mushroom scent, nothing special

General shape of the mushroom looks like an Inocybe.  I would need clearer photos, especially of the gills to be certain.  At any rate, they are not what your looking for.

It likely has nothing to do with you. The shroomery seems to be having hiccups with it's image hosting from time to time lately, and it just comes and goes.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

Looks like Innocybe gills. Some Innocybes are active but its pointless to try and ID them. May be poisonous I hear.

My stems are max 3 mm thick, most are barely 2 mm at full maturity.... This for now seems to not match some inocybe pics but I'm still looking into it as it is very alike
