todays hunt :D.
    #19071354 - 11/01/13 06:16 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

so I will be uploading pictures and info but, the one I know almost 100% is the massive Amanita muscaria, I have found today but I will describe it, until I can use a camera later. The stipe is really big and white, the cap is wavy, red, orange mix colour, with alot of veil. If anyone can tell me now without a picture that would be nice, Pictures will be comming. I might have found a Psilocybe cyanescens patch not to sure. Also I belieave I have found some liberty caps .

I can't wait I really wanna show you guys, also I have been doing more and more research on wavy caps and liberty caps, I think i've been finding tons of liberty caps and thinking no, also I didn't think wavy caps were light brown if that's the case there's about 5 or 6 massive patches at the entrance where I was looking at.

Wow...that's a lot to ask with such little info and no pictures.... I'm not sure anyone would be comfortable giving out an ID on any amanita without at least a picture or three lol... but we would be more than happy to help once you get your pics up

almost the same, the cap is more light red with some orange, the veil spots are more in the center grouped, some on the outside, and is curved up, the gills are thick and narrow. Stipe is white looks and feels abit like decaying wood, has lost or doesn't have it's ring. The inside of the bottom of the cap is white with abit of yellow it pretty much feels like and breaks like soggy wood.

I'm sorry, from those pictures, I can't see the concentric rings at the base of the stem...so I can't say for sure one way or the other on the amanita...you will have to wait for a TI or someone with experience in the PNW...

It's got nothing to do with the pictures. The stipe is so obliterated there are none to be seen.

--------------------

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

It could be Amanita muscaria, and probably is. It's way, way past eating in any event though.
