Probably going to take me years to finish that seeing as how I haven't smoked more then a gram in the last month.
Might just make some edibles or extracts.

no guns, weeds illegal, and toronto's mayor smokes crack
There are plenty of guns but you have to take a safety course to be licensed to buy them. Also Toronto's mayor is made of butter.

I hope Canadians start treating Americans like Americans treat Mexicans.
Well, that's a gross overgeneralization, but I think you get my point.

Our healthcare is awesome. Yup gun laws are strict. Weed is very plentiful and here in T.O cops turn a blind eye to people smoking unless they are trying to get you for something else. Other drugs are also plentiful here.
Also has been pointed out Toronto mayor smokes crack and is made of butter.

Yeah I would say the vast majority of Canadians are happy with our healthcare system. It really only gets demonized by people trying to influence the US healthcare debate. It's not perfect obviously, but no system is. Every other week in the Pub there's someone with some serious medical problem that they're avoiding seeing a doctor about because they can't afford it. You just don't see that here.

I'm in Nevada, we're finally loosening up the ropes on legalized medical marijuana, they're actually opening 12 medicinal marijuana shops in the cities of Las Vegas and Reno!
Nevada is also pretty gun friendly. Want to own fully automatics? Probably the most friendly state for it.
Now 'scuse me while I go buy a huntin' rifle and smoke a joint and kill me a wild boar for some bacon! BAAACOOON!

I'd wait before moving back, the economy sharted itself, but I think it might get a change of underwear here soon... Hopefully. Unless the housing market does a repeat of the 2004-2006 (giant bubble+burst).

Yeah that's what I hear, I have family that keep me updated. I'd def wait until shit stabilizes, I do miss living in vegas though. Although it's be a hard change having lived in some tiny ass towns the past few years.

Well BC is right next to seattle, and seattle's one of the US's better off cities (with an unemployment rate around 6% instead of the normal 10-12%...) You need money to live there, meaning you need a job, it pushes the bums out.
I couldn't live in Vegas myself, after growing up in Reno, I've grown a disgust for casinos and a love for the Sierras, Tahoe and the skiing as well as backpacking 4x4ing, etc. Vegas just seems like a giant suburb with a large strip in the 120F heat, and nothing but dirt and treeless mountains. I'm sure I'm way off but... that's how it feels from a Northern nevadan perspective ;P

High cost of living is a reality in pretty much any major city. I pay $1000/mo for a 400 sq ft bachelor in Toronto and a decent 1 bedroom (~650 sq ft) will run you ~$1500/mo.

Jesus, that might just be the location you choose in the city as well. If you're living directly in the city yes, prices are ridiculous. Live a few miles out of the area, where you still have to commute and deal with traffic and the living expenses drop drastically. You pay for convenience and location. When I lived in Portland I lived in a decent neighborhood in Sellwood and was paying $700 or so for a 2 bedroom 900sq ft apartment.
Had I lived in the pearl district right in downtown portland, I'd have paid between $1,500-$3,000 for the same sized place.

I live in manitoba and I like it quite a lot.
Fresh air, wide open spaces, not crowded, forests and lakes everywhere, universal healthcare, less terrifying government than America.
Its not perfect. I would like to move to either Scandinavia, Sweden, Norway, Findland, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany or maybe the southern Hemisphere.
