Looks contaminated to me, man. I don't think saving the cake is worth the risks, and I'd toss it.

Oh my, when I first started growing, I also tried to do this "jar surgery" you speak of either by dissecting contaminated grains out of my jar, or by removing a myc chunk out of a moldy jar into a clean one. I can only recall ONE TIME out of several where this procedure actually worked, and I'm sure it was simply dumb luck that it worked that one time. It's not worth it dude, it's one pf cake, make more I can pretty much tell you that what you're talking about trying to do is doomed to fail.
eta: the reason it's doomed to fail is because it looks like your moldy spot is already sporulating (at least it looks green in the middle of the mold myc, or it does on my laptop anyways). you moving that shit around in even the slightest way is gonna cause those spores to float around and land elsewhere, just consider the jar fucked......it'd be like having herpes on your lip, touching it with your finger, then grabbing your dick & spreading it down there - oh shit, now you gave yourself genital herpes!! err something like that.

take jar outside and dump it out away from your body
shed outer layer of clothing before coming back in your house (seriously)
wash jar in dishwasher

If you have a pc cook it before you take it outside to dump.. I also bring a bucket of bleach water out with me and the jar gets tossed in there right after dumping for a nice soak.
But that might be overkill
