Hell yea it's awesome as shit dude. I wouldn't do it at the peak though. But right after the peak of acid one time I listened to Wintersun's the land of snow and sorrow for like 2 hours on repeat. Djent is pretty cool while tripping too, I listened to the whole altered state album by tessaract, also after a lsd peak, while looking at the stars It was really amazing i recommend it. Cynic is pretty cool too, if you've ever heard of them. Listened to traced in air on a shroom peak, it was a bit too intense, so I ended up turning it off and resuming my listening after the peak. Melodic/Folk metal and Progressive metal is great for trippin, but like i said, wouldn't recommend it until after the peak.

I "accidentally" listened to Between the Buried and Me (The Anatomy Of) while under the influence of some strong doses back in 2007....I never would've expected it, but it was quite an awesome experience. The next CD in the stereo was Neil Young (Harvest Moon)....what a vibe change that was!

It was weird, last Friday I tripped pretty hard, and the whole time I had machine head songs stuck in my head, but I never even listened to them while trippin

So when I had my first acid trip, I was over-prepared, checked every song, threw one out cause it had phone like tone in it (thought I might freak out even if I turn off my phone), all heavy/dark stuff was removed from playlist and so on. [better to over-prepare than to take it too lightly] (I am metalhead, but do not enjoy metal with cannabis). So I tripped really nice and understood, that LSD does not make me anxious. Last night I had my second trip, again, I started with some blues tunes and stuff like Maggot Brain from Funkadelic. Then I got bored, tried out some Lamb Of God (got pretty excited with them), later on some more dark stuff like Electric Wizard - Funeralopolis, then some deathcore. As I had really mild trip, I totally enjoyed this music. For larger doses I guess I wouldn't listen to heavy stuff, but with mild ones, yep, me likey.

Electric Wizard is great! Check out iRepress for some smooth metal thats heavy but not overbearin and really caries the mind well.
Fear Factory is also great with alittle Ketamine added to the mix.
Listen to this album by iRepress while tripping if you like metal:

If you like it sober you should like it high. I listen to black, death, and technical metal fucked up and I love it.
The sub-quarters of the craft Harbors an alien juggernaut Psilocybin has no effect in calming the beast Thrashing around for decades In the hull of the ship The Scion of another world The beast, a serpent enveloping its prey Progeny of an alien
Abaddon Spawn of An altered Hades forged in an abysmal alien Inferno The heir of alien demi-gods revels In obsession Compelled inheritably to feed upon virvum Forever drawn to virvum Forever in desire
Kept in a remissive state weak and frail Infantile, nurtured in The womb of the ship Scraps of alien flesh rejected Weak beings with defects Are cast into the pit
The emperor finds amusement in the feeding salivating with excitement as he lurks from above Resembling the age of Roman coliseum carnage Alien peons, the beast, virvum juggernaut Ritual feeding takes place frequently Monitored carefully, fed just enough to sustain life Inadequate to obtain the strength to overtake Absorbing foreign cells, consuming all vitality
Its' thirst for Virvum is left unquenched Awaiting the taste of blood
Once on Earth Virvum will explode Into fountains of a ever-changing foreign hue A flourishing Eden of life forms awaits Eventually absorbed
The juggernaut Awakened To Consume The Enemy The ultimate Weapon for Collecting Diadem It's awaiting In darkness Staying hidden Then Snatching All forms of life And growing Becoming More powerful
The habitual life detector Soon will rise from the void Stewed down from the sky Skattered about the doomed planet Starved and unmerciful Awareness begins to heighten As the creature enormously grows Cells continue to multiply
On a starved planet with a slow dying race An expedition to obtain Zeal has begun Entranced in decades of psychedelic sleep In the far reaches of space, a thirty year voyage has commenced
A forest of alien spores decorate the interior of the ship Creating overlapping shelves of exotic foreign shrooms Pods of slumber, mimic the layered strain
Each pod unique in design Enveloped by terrestrial hieroglyphs The scent of foreign fungus reeks pungent to The human senses yet calms the alien soul
Synthesis Not needed To thrive Xenogeneic Psilocybin Multiples From within The chilled Damp chambers Anxiously Awaiting To rise
Hallucinogens blanking the alien mind Strains of bacteria bask in metamorphosis Breeding hybrid strains, constantly strengthening Melting minds into stasis
A canvas of intertwining rods of cells Making residence of the stagnant air
Inhuman cyborg pilots the craft And feeds the cells watching over them Soon to grow into abominations Advanced molecules unknown to man
The emperor Preaches the Scriptures of a Foretold prophecy As ancient Alien Shamans use Psychedelics As tools to Become one With the Earths Mighty powers
Foreign color stream Illuminates Their window to the planets Perception stripped of all matter Revealing the paths to vitality

I love Electric Wizard. Especially when I used to smoke, so I'll give them a try. And maybe some LOG. Warbringer has some pretty melodic stuff on their new album so I might try a few songs from that as well

To mattrit
I checked out Sol Eye Sea album, might like them when tripping, I will probably give them a try, thanks.
To Deathcore If question about deathcore bands was for me..
All Shall Perish (sad thing is that Eddie won't do their vocals anymore) <- Liked a lot on acid Whitechapel <- Was okay Chelsea Grin <- "Liked The Human Condition" Make Them Suffer <- Totally enjoyed their sympho type of deathcore Winds Of Plague <- Was okay Then I switched to videos, watched that 50's video about LSD experiment. And yeah, Oceano's new stuff is awesome, though I still listen Contagion album the most.

If you are a fan of Devin Townsend, listen to him. For me (being a huge fan of his work) I listened to his entire album Ki while tripping on L. It was intense. Lots of ups and downs in that album.

Gojira - Of Blood And Salt (feat. Devin Townsend & Fredrik Thordendal (Meshuggah)) must be great on LSD. Will give it a try one day.

Melodic death metal for sure. I love Amon Amarth and Arch Enemy is pretty good too. I really dig how Arch Enemy has a female vocalist.

Have you seen an Arch Enemy show? Her voice is quite impressive.
Here's an amazing album to trip to:
The bandmembers live on a farm in the woods near Olympia, WA, so psychedelics are probably part of their inspiration

I think there's a reason psychedelic genres are labeled as psychedelic.
I can't even stand metallica on psychedelics :-P
it's like they enjoy pain and suffering, lol
psytrance for me
but else they were my favorite band for 15 years or so
sometimes pink floyd can be good though... shine on you crazy diamonds comfortably numb wish you were here the wall welcome to the machine pulse dark side of the moon etc.. is there anything PF I don't love?
PF is love, but I still prefer progressive psytrance
or normal trance: youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=OV6Dm4yY7Do , no time
