Politics is bullshit
    #19062717 - 10/31/13 10:50 AM (10 years, 3 months ago)

It is sort of mind blowing how much people will believe in this country. This is not a post about being a jerk or anything like that, I am just wondering who else here thinks there is a lot of bs that goes on in the media. By "a lot" I mean every single channel from fox news to msnbc say a lot of bullshit to make you believe something, to make you think that this two party system is working. Who supports this two party system? I don't. When I see the news and they are arguing it makes me want to puke.  It is all bullshit and no one seems to notice. What do you guys think? Because I think media is just there to give people a false sense of participation when in reality they don't even get to play the game. These rich assholes spend their money so they can buy up peoples opinion and then the people support them. Man fuck politics. Would anyone agree with me?

No.

Dude, THAT'S WHAT THE RICH WANT YOU TO DO.

They want pissed off and saying fuck politics. They want you not to vote.

You don't watch much MSNBC trying to compare it to FOX. They may present the opposite sides of the story but on any show on MSNBC they have people on the right there to present the republican point of view.

They quote sources and you'll never hear "Some are saying" or "We found this on the Internet"

You may not agree with the message of MSNBC, but if Fixed News had their ethics, this country wouldn't be as fucked up as it is.

Oh I definitely know how unethical fox is. I am extremely against Rupert Murdoch's war on news. The thing that is really fucked up about faux news is that they send memos out to all the reporters telling them what they can and can't talk about. I know MSNBC has some good news, I wasn't necessarily comparing them to faux, faux is much worse than MSNBC in my opinion. I just have a hard time buying into any news that has to do with politics. That is what I was saying. Even if they are unbiased, they still talk about politicians as if they weren't payed off. I had hope in Obama but even he can't do anything now, he has made deals with people and it is hard to grasp and almost sad that he has done it. Obama was a good chance at something but shit has gotten too out of control. The oil and coal corporations will get what they want, the sea temperatures will rise and people living in the gulf will wonder why there are so many severe hurricanes. I believe Obama wanted to change things which he did change some things, but not the things that mattered. I don't want to piss people off but a large majority of Conservative America are like children because they only want what they want. The people following politicians (namely conservatives) don't even realize they are being lied too, but a lot of liberal politicians lie as well. It isn't as one sided as you think. I respect your opinion and somewhat agree with you.

Politics is what faux and MSNBC were built for.

Don't worry about Global Warming, it's just about too late to do anything and nothing will be done, just move to higher ground.

Obama wanted to do the right thing that is why he brought 50 or so Goldman Sachs people in to fill key positions in his administration when he first took office in 2009.  :smirk:

To put it in pictures:

I would assume to keep the economy from crashing. Still better than Mitt Romney in my opinion. Mitt Romney would not have been good for people's well being and that is a fact.

show the fact you mention..  Liberals always talk about facts, but with just a lil research most can be put to bed very easily.

Clearly you have no idea what a "fact" is.

Why should anyone respect the opinion of someone who lacks that basic bit of knowledge?

So the "experts" from Goldman Sachs are there "to keep the economy from crashing"?  That's a good one.  :rofl2:

You do realize that Goldman Sachs and other major financial institutions give a tremendous amount of money to both the Democratic and Republican parties?

What happened when this former Goldman chief was the Secretary of Treasury?  The biggest financial crisis in 80 years!  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Paulson

I am well aware of that. Something needs to change for the economy as for this situation they are in, the people who make the decisions for the banks are the ones that keep the economy from crashing. The housing bubble in 2008 would have been a lot worse if the people running the banks didn't make the decisions they made.

So you want the people that caused the mess in the first place to "keep the economy from crashing"?  Seems like their credibility should be piss poor from their prior decisions.

Did it ever come to your mind that they are just serving their own interests?  The policies that "fixed" the economy has only benefit the top 1/10th of 1%, or do you not understand the monetary polices that they implemented?
