Possible panaeolus relative?
    #19064731 - 10/31/13 05:20 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

Hello hello.
I've been finding quite a few of these recently and am curious as to what they are.
I may be completely wrong, but I'm thinking they might be part of the panaeolus family, as they have similar characteristics to many of those mushrooms.
They usually grow in and around horse manure, but some of them can be found under pine trees in the moist dirt.
They're all fairly small, usually under 5 cm in cap diameter with an orange dot in the center. I haven't had a chance to take a spore print yet.
Thanks for any and all feedback.

Stropharia species, maybe S. semiglobata. Not in the Panaeolus family but I can see where you're coming from
