They smell great, like some sort of spicy fruit.

the specimens pictured are already in the tea pot.
I left a bunch of pins behind to get bigger. So if I am able to get back out to the woods in a few days I'll collect them.
I have a few in the freezer from an earlier flush on the same log. (but I froze them fresh, so they'd turn to mush?) Maybe dry ice?

'Atta boy. But seriously they do look fantastic and you should ALWAYS save at least a print of your interesting finds.
