I consider myself very lucky. My boyfriend and I are the king and queen of our 3 bedroom house, built in 2012 and still immaculate. We have a two car garage and a backyard for bonfires or chillin and grillin.
We aren't millionaires, but we want for nothing. He makes good money and gets cool benefits from his job like free gas and free insurance for the company car he drives, as well free meals when he works all day or is out of town and has a smart phone his company pays the bill for, which helps a lot.
I don't make all that much, but the company pays for part of my tuition which really helps, too. I take care of my car stuff and groceries, and he pays the bills. I look around my house everyday, look at the great guy I'm in love with and look the best cat in the United States that lives here with us, look at all our sweet material stuff and think, holy shit I've hit the jackpot.
The worst thing about my life is living 800 miles away from my family, and living in the big dirty city crowded with lots of dirty people has a been a really big adjustment for me from living in the affluent suburbs and a huge adjustment for my boyfriend who has lived in the country all his life.

So you choose living in a big dirty city away from family so that you can have a nice house?

I'm so, so much more happy here than I was home in Texas. My life has gotten exponentially better in every conceivable aspect.

I actually haven't updated my location, I moved to Indiana some time ago. My boyfriend works as a medical gas inspector.
