cubensis grow great in them

I think you're confused about strain.
Any mating spores make a strain even if they're from different "varieties" (i.e. a GT and B+ spore will mate because they're both cubes and the only difference is the name printed on the syringe)

So pick a name you like because it makes no difference they all have the same genes and to get consistently good characteristics you'll have to isolate strains on agar.

The best growbags are the ones you make yourself. Buy the bag with the filter patch and optional SHIP. Fill it up, Seal it, PC it, Inoc it.

I would  recomend outgrows brf bags for a noob, you can fruit em right in the bag, amd as long as you try to be careful with sanitation you should have no problem.. outgrows products are for legal mushroom cultivation of course  .. but if you want to grow a fast colonizing strain in something other than outgrows brf bags i would recomend F+, it is hands down the fast colonizing strain i have ever dealt with.. 10 days and my bags are 99 percent colonized

Outgrow sell presterilized half pound brf for 3.50 each, you cant beat that price and brf is good for beginners

Hey, just wanted to put my 2 cents in. I have tried the out grow bag and I would suggest making a self-healing injection site on the bag first. (rtv sealant) My experiment ended up in the trash because I used tape to cover the inoculation site and that resulted in contamination. Or you could get mad bags from mad season. (more expensive but has everything you need except the spores) good luck and happy growing

I just tape the injection sotewith scotch tape folled by duct tape, if your house is really full of contams in the air etc id go with a self healing injector port bag.. but ive heard of alot of people having good results with just taping the brf bags up.. different everybody i guess, but if you lose a few brf bags at least they are onlu 3.50 each and not 17.00 like mycofactorys bags were..

I don't suggest pre-steralized bags in general. You don't own a pressure cooker? It's kind of like buying 10 5$ bowls or saving up to buy a 30$ bag.

The bags are great for beginners, they yeild better than pf cakes and you will have a higher success rate..and yes you can use em on a  Regular basis i used em for years and a grain bag should put out well over a dry oz each

:lolwut:

They're no easier than PF cakes. If PF cakes are hard then find a different hobby. The simplest and most basic concepts to this hobby are learned with the PF tek. If you cant do that right you're doomed.

They don't have higher yields... It depends on how big of a bag you get. The yield is relative to how many cakes vs how much spawn/sub you use.

IDK where the 1oz number came from, your bags maybe. Any way a grain bag still needs to be mixed with pasteurized substrate and fruited properly to preform well. Cakes only need to be birthed and put into the SGFC.

If you can start with bulk and skip PF great. But, then you would be one of those people who wouldn't be asking basic questions because you would have figured it all out from reading on your own instead of going all my own personal army mode on your research.

Bags are easier than jars in the aspect that you can buy them presterilized. Also as far as having to case grain bags, you can buy grain grow bags moxed with vermiculite etc and fruit right in the bag.. amd as far as "the whole oz thing" thats the minimum ive pulled total off of a self sufficent grain "enviro-bag"..
if you were around a decade ago or even a few years ago you would know all about mycobag/mycofactory and before you go off on people about using bags and not making cakes just consider it helps get alot of people into the hobby.. i started with pf tek jars 11 years ago and the yeild was bull shit.. like a dry eighth total per half pint cake.. if i jad to choose id rather go with bags where my average first flush dry weight was 14-20 grams..

1) PRE-Sterilized sucks. Do yourself a favor and do it yourself.
2) the bags you described are in-vitro bags and those blow too.
3) I started out with grow bags because I was a noob(don't believe me look for my first few posts) I learned and moved away from that garbage.
4) I'm glad you got a measly ounce of a grow bag  Doesn't mean I want to see ever new cultivator go down the same shit road you did.

Agar, grain spawn, bulk sub and monotub IS the easy way, lol. seriously...it's easier than pf tek haha...heck... skip the agar and just multi-spore inoculate your grains..... grain spawn to bulk is the easiest method by far. and you get WAY more fruit.

He was interested in the bags, and they are good for beginners.. if you fail too many times making brf jars you are gonna give up its nice to have new people join the hobby.. not everyone starts off with bulk you fucking derelict.. its assholes like you who turn people off from this shit..

Pf cakes dont give shit unless spawned to bulk or cased, a grain bag can be fruited in a sgfc as a large cake but puts out a shit ton more mushies than a brf jar cake.. and ive gotten more than a dry oz off of em when i used em.. ive gotten several oz per bag on average.. i just think someone new that the hobby could pull an oz easy

And why would a newb need to grow pounds of try shrooms hos forst tome unlless your dealing them? Most people starting off here just want to eat some shrooms, not supply a metropolis with them, i notced in your ratings this isnt the first time you have given shitty advice to newcomers..

I think giving shitty advce and being arrogant turns em off more.. im notbthe most advanced cultivator here, ive taken a 6 year absence from the hobby, but jerks posting shit like you are a dime a dozen here, your nothing special.. i dont grow bulk but i dont give bad advice.. notice how i have under 500 posts in almost a decade, i dont post usually unless i feel im helping somebody.. the op isnt gonna take anything useful away from anything you said..

Yes you can, or you can simply fruit it as a cake if desired and get pretty decent flushes for a beginner.. just make sure you dont buy spawn bags if you plan to grow in the bag and  then move to a sgfc, you will either want a grains/verm mixed bag or brown ric flour/verm bag. If you plan on  just casing, spawn bags will (probably) contain more to work with, and are made specifically for casing or spawning to bulk

You can case the grow bags as well, but.if your jist gonna case it might as well buy an all grain/rye/substrat of yoyr choice bag.. you can use the vermiculate/brf or verm/grain bags to case and grow right in the bag, but sawn bags arent for invitro..
