Good question actually Want them full grown, not too old or they are rotting and not too young cause they are babies and will get bigger

I mean, they're best when they're young ... But that isn't sustainable to harvest a patch like that. Best to let nature do her trick and make sure the caps fully expand so they release a nice load of spores. Also, its always good karma to leave at least a few mushrooms behind to rot into the ground.
