I have no experience with mono tubs, but i would assume that an expert would need to know how big the tub your using is. But im just a noob :p

Not enough info.
You don't need to inoculate rye to do damion's coir tek. Coir is the substrate rye is the spawn they're separate things until you mix them together and put it in the tub.
I also don't suggest damion's tek. Just properly pasteurize for better success.

Diff materials weigh diff amounts. You can do it in pints, cups, or even tablespoons if you like. How about ounces? Of course even then I'm sure it will be off...
Guestimate it. This isn't always an exact science.

Use a 3rd of the amount of bulk substrate your going to use , if you doing an 18 gallon tub with 3 pounds of coir then add 1 pound of spawn (just example not actual weights) this ratio always works fine with me. And personally i would go to home depot and get some earth gro steer manure mix it with vermiculite to get it nice and fluffy/airy but not too much . Its waaaay cheaper than coir aboit two bucks and more nutritious from personal expirience , put it in a big soup cooking pot add twice as much water and sterilize it or pasturize it in there and when its done clean your hands spray tbe room and quickly gra a handfull squeeze it in your hand there should be drops of watter coming out of it and if theres too much water throw it back in the oven.
If it ends up getting too dry i just get some manure , pulverize some brown rice and simmer it to where its just under boiling as if you were to make a tea out of it for an hour maybe two hell or three adding water as needed. Then filter out the water toss the material or save it for later and simmer the poop/rice juice untill theres only enough juice to fill a few syringes if its too thick to suck up in the syring just add water untill its watery enough to suck up. If you do add more watter make sure you boil it for a few minutes too sterilize it and suck it up while its hot.
Then wait until its room temperature (syringe) and inject it into the tub/substrate spaced three inches apart using no more than 1cc or ml per injection site and your mushies will love it i always get good results doing this wether the tub needs more moisture or not but use common sense and dont add so much that it will pool at the bottom of the tub. Message me if you have any questions or would like to know what kind of things i do to maximize final results. Best of luck to you.

Also you're asking about weight and you should be asking about volume. How many pounds to do damions coir tek? That doesn't make sense. I could do the coir tek with a half a brick of coir or two bricks so...
I would use the ratio's damion said for coir+verm+h2o but I wouldn't do the boiling water in a bucket part of the tek. Properly pasteurize for success. Pouring boiling water into a bucket with coir is not pasteurization it's close but no cigar.
Skip the premade bags is my advice. If you were making them yourself you would know how many quarts went in.

OP, you may get better answers if you knew how much volume was in a pound.
