Has anybody else noticed oysters freezing at above 32f?

Seriously; try it. They're the only thing in my fridge which does so, and they're frozen solid. I don't have an accurate thermometer in there, but it's got to be at least 35f

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

I have found Oysters fruiting in extremely frosty weather, suggesting they are great insulators. I don't suppose that helps solve your puzzle but it might be evidence of something useful. Or maybe they happily take the cold end of a heat exchange, but that is about as scientific as my bum.
