Hell no. That movie was a joke. The director's never done a psychedelic drug.* And Johnny Depp acted like a ridiculous caricature of Hunter Thompson. Also, they only made a concerted effort to make it look psychedelic at the beginning of the movie.

:youseethisshit:

Have you seen the movie? What the fuck are you talking about the only psychedelic part was at the beginning. Have you watched the movie with a head full of acid? I couldn't even make it through it until I did, so I can understand if that's the case.

Johnny Depp was awesome in it too.... but whatever you're probably a lot more cultured and intelligent than me, I'm just a simple mind with simple pleasures

Thus my insesent poli-drug using hobby

Films by Simon G. Powell are interesting:

Metanoia

and

Manna

--------------------
Favorite entheogen experiences in descending order:
1)Combo of oral DMT + smoked Bufotenine
2)Amanita (urine drank twice)
3)Mushrooms > Achuma 16"+cid(still need higher dose Achuma)> Cid (still need high dose)
4)Morning Glory-HBWR (+cumin, cinnamon aldehyde adducts) > Methyl chavicol (need more activators)
5)Salvia (need to try quid)

All readable matter in the above post is ficticious... any similarities to real life are purely coincidental.

Blessing.

Albeit I can't remember anything about it, other than the huasca scene

That's the one that immediately came to mind for me. I actually rented that from Netflix solely because I wanted to see the ayahuasca scene. I was not disappointed! Plus, Vincent Cassel is in it, I really admire him as an actor.

Sid and Nancy isn't quite what I would called a quality film, but I still think it's an important drug film. I think it really pisses on Sid's legacy, as I think he was far deeper and sensitive than the film portrays, but looking beyond that, I think it does a great job at portraying just how utterly depressing heroin addiction really is. The parts of the film with them living at the Chelsea hotel in New York were just so grim. I can't believe how young they were when they died. Especially Nancy.

24 Hour Party People was more about Manchester and the music, but it certainly has its share of drug use. The best scene?

John Dies at the End

...In addition, of course, to the obvious choice: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, which I almost don't even want to mention because it was such a great book and people tend to associate Hunter S. Thompson, a brilliant, real-life writer, with Johnny Depp.

But it is a great movie.

If you haven't seen that movie, you should not be reccomending it.  That show is fucked up and not in a good way.
