Just noticed my date and time stamp on my camera is off pay no attention. I'll have to figure out how to fix it.
Habitat: Wood lover. Doesn't matter if it is dead or alive. See habitat photos.

Gills: White to cream, decurrent(?),

Stem: 4-5 inches long 1/2 diameter widening greatly towards the base (over 1 1/4 inch). White and shaggy looking. Annulus present.

Cap: 1-4 inches across depending on stage. Light creamy brown darkening towards the center. Wooly (my 1st choice for description) or shaggy? Maybe scaly?

Spore print color: White. ALMOST a super duper light gray. But I would say white.
Bruising: The stem seemed to bruise very slowly brown.
Other information:

Honeys. Armillaria mellea, or as close as matters.
--------------------
Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

The caps are pretty good in my opinion. The stems are tough and fibrous. Try a small amount at first because some people don't agree well with them (so I'm told).

The stipe bases for A. mellea taper down to a point and the stipe in general is typically slender. The bulbous stipe and coloration seen here is more consistent with A. gallica. However, the annulus points at another species.
