Don't you think it's interesting the way people interact with each other sometimes? 1

So I was at a bonfire and all these chix n a few doods were just rambling on and on about some drama for a while and I was sittin there listening and really couldn't help but to find it so interesting how differently they would talk about people they like vs. the ones they didn't like. Being there also kinda reminded me how i'm not always much of a people person
But anyways,
This is the perception of people they don't like: Everything they do wrong is an issue worth talking about, their physical faults in how they look is meant to be insulted, every positive attribute that they have is to be minimized as much as possible
Perception of people they do like: Polar opposite. Everything positive about them is to be expanded on, everything negative about them is to be minimized.
It's funny, like they only live in a selective fraction of reality. They're only willing to admit so much to themselves as a collective whole. It all has to do with the concepts of "self" and "other" n thangs
These arent like 15 year olds either, these are like 20 year olds. Young adults. (Not that I'm suggesting these are all high quality people worth seeing a lot of in the future though lol)
I dunno where I'm goin with this, what's ya'lls input on the generalized nueroticism of the human mind? Don't you think we're all just so interesting and funny?

A lot of people have that mindset that they are soo seperate from everyone and this behavior is okay, but they fail to realize our minds are all connected and blah blah blah

Getting philosophical I see. We all see a fraction of reality. Honestly, I get tired of seeing people interact. Usually, its extremely predictable. Its hard to hold an intelligent and meaningful conversation with anyone in real life these days. I'm surround by college douchebags that have the maturity of 10 year olds

I wouldn't necessarily say I'm "getting" philosophical, i'm generally a pretty deep thinker.

I think I big portion of this is people's insecurities.
Have you ever witnessed an overweight person pay out someone who is even more overweight, perhaps only by the tiniest bit? Or someone who used to be overweight or is insecure about they body/anorexic?
I see this all the time, whereas I rarely at all see people who are completely comfortable with their body criticise other's bodies.
I couldn't think of a better example right now but I still stand by it being largely based on people's insecurities.

I agree, but it's not always a blessing. Sometimes it gets downright painful. I wouldn't trade it for anything though, but it seems that every single day brings increasing social disapointement my way.

This doesn't change. It's a type of person. 15. 20. 27 (my age), whatever. I'm sure there may reach a point where it sets in for most people, but certain folks are always going to have that mindset, so long as they have that same tight core of close friends who self-reinforce

I think its normal. HOPEFULLY the conversation evolves with age though. If it's not people it's TV, politics, music, cars, phones etc. normal human interaction stuff.
I love people watching though. I'm like the biker in rumble fish when I go to the movies. I love watching people watch movies.

I've found that on some LSD trips with close friends the drug almost tears a filter off reality and we can all see the silly ways we interact. Like we'll all see the look on someone's face when they want another person's cigarette or chocolate.
Somehow the weird sub-dialogue in our conversations, discrete body language and our subconscious interpretations and actions according to these things seems to hold the group together.
Like with my chocolate or cigarette example, the other person will get some of what they want. We all eat chocolate. All is dandy.

Yes. I have observed what you mentioned too. My friends and i often talk about other individuals in our lives. It usually starts positive but downwards spirals to a big bitch session. I don't like it, and generally try to focus on the positives in people, bu i guess when you're around an individual enough, the little things eat at you.
This is completely different, but it's in relevance to the thread title. I always examine people in social situations when i have the chance. It is very interesting. Around home i've noticed a difference in my self, my mum, and my dad, when one of us request something of the other. For example, one of us asking another for help moving something:
Me = Can you help me move this? Mum = Are you able to help me move this? Dad = You wanna help me move this?
I think it's interesting.

I'm at work. There is a new guy. Hes really nice and only wants to do a good job, make money, and go home. A girl co-worker says "I don't like that guy." I back him up and say "I think hes nice, and seems like he could be doing bigger and better things." She said "Well I just don't like him because hes Asian." I was heart broken. I thought we were pass this. The intolerance is so embarrassing. I feel bad for her kinda, but worse for him.

I feel the same way about the way people treat one another,
but what really sucks is sometimes i realize i'm doing it without even intending to, just kinda comes on spontaneously, or maybe im just not being conscious enough of what noises my face hole makes.

I think people like drama. If things are too harmonious and breezy they will find a way to antagonize something or someone to add some spice to their otherwise boring lives.

I have this problem now. 3 girls want to fuck me and me all 3 unless one is loyal to me. my friend is pissed and I have no license at the moment so he's been trying to keep me away from these girls. to hell with him and i'll shove his face into azmodius's cemetery grounds if it comes to that. he's my demon. girls are just too important to let other dudes try and take over.

I thought we were pass this. The intolerance is so embarrassing. I feel bad for her kinda, but worse for him.
When are we going to grow up.
What a load of crap wtf is up with people
shemeant to say "i dont like him because he's introverted"
which means she meant to say "i don't like him because asians are typically introverted"
but she's been around a bunch of ignorant peopel her whole life, soshe said "i dont' like him cuz he's asian"

Lol im pretty sure harmoniousness and breeziness is like really blissfull, and if it's not then there's trouble in paradise and it's not actually all that breezy

People love drama. Drama means that there is something exciting happening. I blame Jersey Shore and all the other ridiculous reality shows that aren't really about reality. It teaches these kids that it's okay to yell and be obnoxious. It's a really sad world, but occasionally it is a guaranteed laugh for all who watch.

Being harmonious and peaceful can be far more exciting than petty drama. Not to mention eternally blissfull

Honestly, I couldn't agree more. Which is why I don't understand, from my observations on human interaction, is that people choose to live in a dark place.
