I havn't been living my life to its potential
    #19059303 - 10/30/13 07:07 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

I realized recently, that I live my life in a lonely, un-fulfilling way. I need/want to travel more, and go to wayy more music festivals. And do ayahuasca/peyote with the woman I love.

I recently found a wonderful woman who would love to share experiences like this with me. But I don't have the money to do it. I NEED to get a full time job so I can afford to take her on an exotic vacation to a poor nation. I want to give her wonderful memories and give her a reason to be happy.

But once I get that full time job so I can afford the travel and the music festivals (I do realize that this takes a lott of money) I'll probably have trouble getting enough time off.

Oh the vicious circle of lifes choices. Any advice?

Just dont do what I did. The whole reason I enrolled in college 4 years ago was to land a job that would make me rich so I could go drink ayahuasca  Now I find myself in the deepest pit of poverty and will probably have to deliver Pizzas to claw my way out with my old felony and a BA degree :bored:

I have some freebase deemster that I've been sitting on for months.

I extracted it and have not felt ready for it since. When I'm more emotionally healthy and confident, I will try it.

This made me laugh for some reason.

I don't have any advice to help fix all of your problems.  but learning where to invest your money will help you.  Also, you should read about people who backpack around very cheaply.

and maybe hitchhiking, wwoofing and stuff if you feel like that.

You could also quit your full time job once you have enough money.

thats a lot of good advice. I love it.

I bet she'd be into that too, the backpacking. It would be an adventure that would bond us forever.

Just curious, what was funny? The poor nation part? the "NEED?"

Look for a job more and post here less, after applying to everything you can possibly do try to find little ways to make money in the mean time.  Cut grass, steal from parked cars, collect empty cans, steal scrap copper from vacant houses.  Recognizing you need to change is first step, but it won't bring you anywhere unless you pick up your ass.

haha the exotic vacation to a poor nation bit

You could also start your own business and once it's running, you wouldn't have to invest too much time into it to keep it going-atleast not as much time compared to a full time job.  It does take time, work, knowledge, and risk to start though.  It's worth considering for a long time goal.

This.

Even if you don't make a lot of money save some of it. A small percent of your income will grow. It's funny the more it grows the more you'll want to save. Also apply EVERYWHERE! Once you find a job just keep looking for something better. I don't know if you smoke but you should quit for a bit if you're serious. I'm a daily smoker and had to quit when I was looking for something better. It sucked, but it was well worth it. Work hard for your woman. She'll notice and then them titties will start flopping.

I got a job that pissed test once when I wasn't clean. I had a friend who was clean, pee in a condom and I ducted taped it to my taint. But I was so nervous I was sweating and it messed with the tape. It was almost falling off. That and I got my friends piss on my hands when I poked the condom and they shut the water off so here I am handing a cup full of piss to the lab tech and my hands are dripping. It's better to quit than this nightmare IME.

No I got the job.
:mjk:

But I'll never go through that again. Next time I had a piss test I was exercising and eating minimal. I felt so happy walking in to take it, I was even joking with the employees about '...cocaine only stays in your system for a day right?'
