Over Active Peripheral Vision. Help.

Just as the title says...
Where do I start? Been suffering from this for about 5 years now. To keep it short and sweet if im around people I cant get them out of my peripheral vision. Its so annoying and has made me socially handicapped.
If I had to label this thing as an illness I would say its a weird twist between OCD/PARANOIA/ANXIETY.
How does this affect my life? Everyday, and it has turned me into even more of an avoident person.
Watching TV with friends is impossible. If we are sitting on the couch, I dont remember how to just watch tv, its like full focus on the people next to me.
Theres like a FEW people with this problem that exist ill include a link at the bottom, but besides that this issue seems to not exist...
It is very distressing and im looking for insight into this please...
How do i regain control of my eyes again? Any questions I will gladly answer, this is really crippling my life. Im only 24 but im ready to die.

Do you feel like your just distracted by them or do you feel like they make you anxious?

Both man, I think its some sort anxiety ridden loop I get into.
I feel weird for noticing them in my peripherals, my anxiety shoots up, I tell my self to not look at them, then I notice them in my peripherals, etc...
Its making my life horrible. I mean from a 'normal' persons point of view when you go to watch tv or are driving in the car with someone next to you, you naturally are able to focus on whats ahead of you with out distraction from the person next to you?
For the record im able to drive fine, able to see everything in the road (as well as the person next to me tho) but it makes for a really intense drive between me and my passenger...

Sounds like more an attention problem to me. Add type shit.
A few more questions.
Are you literally just swing them in your peripherals or are you glancing at them like side eyed?

It could be OCD. Do you have rituals that help you feel less distracted? Do you feel more anxious if you don't look at them, or if you do?
Do you take stimulants? Hypervigilance of this sort is common with amphetamine overuse. Tweakers call them "shadow people." It is probably less from a direct drug effect and chronic lack of sufficient sleep (or both).

It sure sounds like you

I was diagnosed with ADD as a kid. Had a horrible time staying focused on a conversation or completing tests at school. Its crazy, I will try to read a test question and after like the 3rd or 4th word im already thinking about the most random things. Pretty much thinking about anything except that test question.
With that being said I was put on ADD medication for like 6 years straight every day... I didnt know better and my mom just liked the fact I was doing well in school.
With the peripheral vision, I am to nervous to even look over at my friend/person(causing attention to my self) in my field of view all though Im way to aware that they are their.
I dont believe I have any traits or tics that help me feel better. I chew gum to keep my self focused or try to wear my hair the side of my eyes for now.
The Low latent inhibition sounds very much like my self, I want to look into it more before I self diagnose anything though.
Argh just want to be able to enjoy peoples company again so bad...
