Books detailing psilocybe in the PNW

So I just posted, then realized that my post was against forum rules (SORRY) didn't realize!! I am horrible about reading rules and regulations, but will do better next time (promise) and yes I did read the rules, directly after I posted. Then I deleted my post LOL! Hey at least I did read them and had the courtesy to save you all the trouble of deleting my rule-breaking post! I have been living in N.W. WA most of my life. I love mushrooms and am an avid picker of edibles in N.W. WA. We had a great year this year for Chanterelles and I picked and dried MANY to use when they're out of season.
When I was younger I spent time picking liberties with my mother in the back farmlands of very western WA. But have not been picking in many years and need a little help. My husband purchased me a gift certificate for our local book store for my birthday and I am thinking it may be good for me to use to order a new book with *duh* I have quite a few mushroom guides which cater to edibles and poisonous mushrooms of WA but none that directly cater to psilocybes or other hallucinogenic mushrooms of N.W. Washington. I am wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of where I may be able to find a field guide for examining these types of mushrooms, that I could possibly order from our local book store.
I have found cyans in the seattle area parks and liberties out here further west (though it's been quite a while.) But I would really love to get out there this year and do some hunting! I would just really like to find a good detailed book to further my research and help me identify those which I am not familiar with.
I am really not sure what all grows here, there are mushrooms EVERYWHERE though! Most of them are non-edibles on my property, but lots of woods and farmlands that I would like to explore and could use a little help along the way. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am really looking for a book that is geared toward western WA, as that is where I reside. Thank you!

Does anyone have it? Is it in stores yet?
Really internet resources are a better bet than books.

Internet sources are great, and I have spent the day away zooming through Mushroom John's website (lots of great information & pictures.) BUT information online does me NO GOOD in the field in areas where there is no internet :-p

You could print off the relevant pages from Joust's guide.

The last thing we need is another book listing the exact same actives species as the 10 before it. We all know by now what magic mushrooms grow in the PNW. I think a rare species in the PNW would be a much more interesting topic for a book.

What are these 10 books?
I only have all the old ones from the 70's with faded or b&w photos. Or I have books that contain psychs of the world.

Including more rare species indeed.

And including nice pictures and in depth information that is cited, information which should be portraying results of scientific studies. New Phylogenic tree's and all sorts of good stuff. Ive been wanting to write a book for a while now and have started, even though it might not be relevant, i still like the idea of a well supported book. I mean where to we get all the information online, from journals, books, studies ect. Anyways. I like books, i have quite a collection that got donated to me of fungi books, I was going to start a shroomery librabry where people can check out books, i have about 35-40 mushroom related books. And everyone has unique info, the outdated ones are even fun! I love reading Stamets older works. But it seems like to much work, and not high enough of a success rate to do a library.

Most books I've seen only offer 1 photo of each species. In the realm of psychedelics, it would be nice to see multiple pics for each species (young, mature, dry, bruised). Maybe at the end of the book, have a few pages containing lookalikes to avoid.
Approaching things like David Arora would be cool. He made mushroom books FUN!

I'll just throw this out there in case in case it fruits in someone's brain...
My grandma recently wrote a shitty book. My friend has a company that does book design/layouts. We sent him the file and he laid it all out. He recommended a company that does "print on demand" packages and also she got a barcode/ISBN, eBook deal, and stuff. Now of course, that cost her a few hundred bucks (my friend worked for free. Maybe someone on here would know how to do a layout?). Anyway, if a book was designed and used photos from us members (maybe even including a nice gallery in the back), I imagine we could all pool money via Paypal to pay for the creation. I know I'd be down to pitch in and then purchase a couple copies.
JUST SAYIN! ...it would be cool... I mean... if my fucking GRANDMA can pull it off... :P

My advice: Paul Stamets: Psilocybin Mushrooms of the World. It has a deadly look-alike section on the back. You have all the species there, but picking the ones you're wanting is only a dog-eared page away.

Ganzig: Here's a link to my friend's company http://faceoutstudio.com/
I can't find anything online at the moment for her book but here's a local article about it and a pic of my grandma, hahaha http://www.chronicletimes.com/story/1959300.html
ANYWAY... a person buys a mushroom book based on the title... how specific it is to their area and the types of species they are after. I could see it selling, regardless if it's something the Shroomery collaborated on or someone else releases.

Anyone know the difference between these 2 books?
Paul Stamets - Psilocybe Mushrooms & Their Allies Paul Stamets - Psilocybin Mushrooms of The World
The "Allies" one is quite rare but I just scored a "very good" copy used on Amazon for $26.

HAHA! Seriously though... do they provide the same information? I mean... the titles are different. "...and Their Allies" implies OTHER species within or allies meaning trees/habitat?
