Are these any good? BRF/LQ, WBS/Spores

I want to know if these jars are good. I have a 6 BRF cakes that I knocked up with 2 different LC, 3 each. They have been in the jar for over 4 weeks. I notice a little bit of dis-coloration and don't know if I should birth them or not...

I also knocked up 7 WBS jars with my Creeper syringe about 3 days ago, and one WBS jar with my Thai. The Thai has a small spot as I would expect, but the creeper jars look....odd.....

Thai

Also I noticed a kinda orange/yellow tint to some of my BRF cakes in my SGFC.. What is this?

Are any/all of these jar ok?

Why are they all wrong/weird sizes?
Why is the foil still on?
Why do they all look contaminated?
So many questions....lol.

Yeah, those don't look tasty. Usually a first sign of something being wrong is when you don't want to eat them based on sight. How do they smell?

The ones in the sgfc still smell like fresh mushrooms. I haven't opened the liquid culture inoculated jars to smell them yet.

The small jars are 1/2 pint regular width. Wide mouths are not around any where local. The first set of cakes I bought, before I made my own, were in these same size jars. The ones my grains are in are 1.5 pint widemouths. There weren't any quarts available so I got those since they are .75 quart. I planned on grain transferring to quart jars when I get some soon. The foil is still on, just loosely, as an extra barrier from crap getting in. As far as contaminated, that's what I'm asking. I do know every jar I've ever knocked up with creeper, 2 different syringes from 2 different orders, all developed a green spot, but then the mycilim would over grow it.

The foil is not a filter, and is stopping nothing from getting in.
The grain jars should have filters on the lids, and the cakes have a dry verm layer.
If the foil remains on the cakes covering the inoculation holes, there is a chance that the dry verm layer will become moist, and this is bad, because then things can colonize it.
All of the cakes in the first 2 pics are contaminated with bacteria.
The grains in the next pic do not look too good either....that much growth in 3 days is never a good thing.

The grain jars do have a tyvek filter on the lid, and all the inoculation holes I made self healing with high temp silicone. And the cakes do have verm on top.
The Creeper grain jars are odd to me as well, because of the growth, color, and I shook up the one that is most "colonized" and the grayish color seems to almost be a powder inside on the glass. I know all the jars were made from the same grain, same time/batch pressure cooked, etc. The only difference is one jar, the one that looks right with little growth and actually white, was knocked up with the Thai vs the Creeper.

The powder is mold spores.

unless they were in the syringe already, how would there be mold spores in there if it was all pressure cooked for 90 mins after it reached 15 psi?

Bad syringe or insufficient sterile technique.

on the cake on the far right middle, that brownish/yellowish close to the top on the side. it shows in the picture on that one, but it is on the others as well. these cakes have been in the chamber for about 6-7 weeks, and were dunked and rolled before entering, and dunked again about a week ago.

No, I've gotten some fruits, you can see the stems cut off on some cakes. Out of 22 cakes, I only got ~20 dry g. Some of the cakes never fruited. The first ones took 11 days for the Thai and about 7-8 days with the Creepers, to fruit. I fan and mist anywhere from 2 times a day(before and after work) if I work all day(15 hr shift), to 4-5 times a day when I am off work or only have to work a regular shift.
I guess I will toss these then. I have 2 more cakes of Creeper soaking right now that were birthed yesterday, so I better get to cleaning out the chamber to make sure they don't catch what ever this is/was.

Thats why I am trying to move to mono's, since they seem more self sufficient and lower maintenance once you get them set up. That and my room doesn't have a closet to place the SGFC in, and has 2 A/c vents and a window unit going when it's hot outside(most of the time in Texas)

well, 12 days after spore injection, all of the creeper came to mold.. the Thai on the other hand...

I have the WBS soaking for the next 7 QT jars that I will divide this jar into. I also have some PE coming in that I plan on starting work with next week.
