Contamination in jar?
    #19054046 - 10/29/13 08:11 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

Using pf tek. 1 jar colonized and pinned significantly quicker than the rest. I decided to hold off on dunk n rolling hoping the others would pin soon after. The quick jar recently 1 mushroom almost 2 inches long and a couple smaller ones so I decided I would have to dunk n roll separate batches. When I took the quick growing  cake out, I notice that the mushrooms all had a some dark green coloring on them and a little on the cake. I pluck the infected shrooms and broke off the moldy parts of the cake and then dunked them. Should I even try with the cake or just dump it? Advice would be appreciated

Sorry man but its trash. If you live somewhere warmer than the frozen wasteland I live in you could try burying it outside but whatever you do get it out of your house. Just be sure that its mold and not bruising.

Green is bad throw it out before it spreads spores around your house

Blue is bruising and is normal if you spray your cakes directly or

handle then too tuff, or if they dry out.
