Decided I will do both! Noc up 8 with MS and set up 8 which I'll g2g. Experiment time!

If I'm not mistaken blue, that might save me time in the long run but add a few days onto my grow (the time it would take for a quart to colonize for g2g vs the time it would take for a half pint to colonize).
Edit
Wait, maybe I'm misunderstanding. Why noc up seven then save the best five or six? I'm thinking ill noc up eight with MS. Then I'll prepare another eight that I'll noc using g2g. For the long run (isolating good genetics) I'll screw around with agar later to accomplish that. Having a big master jar seems to be about stocking up for the next grow, no? I mean, I could do that while I do the MS but I think I rather do my isolating on agar.

I'm not even talking g2g I'm saying just noc up some quart jars with MS and spawn them to bulk if you're looking for the quick, quarts will colonizers bulk faster than pints. 6 quarts spawn to bucket tek probably easiest fastest bulk you can do.

or spawn only 5 quarts, and use one to start another G2G transfer....

there is likely one or two jars that will be a little slow why wait once you have enough if you're looking for the fastest way to get this done

I see what you are saying. I will be trying the g2g thing but will also try the "spawn the five fastest quarts but noc up 8" thing.

blueconfusion said: why wouldn't you just start with the larger quart jars, really you'll have more spawn to put into the quart jars you're g2g'ing and that will lead to faster colonization of the quarts in the long run. and why not just go ahead and make several inoculations of the quart jars like 7 or 8 jars there will definitely be a jar that out preforms the others in colonization times which is ultimately what you're looking for right?
Agreed, Shit I used to just lysol the area for 5-7 seconds and do my G2G in a new trash bag. Not saying that's a great sterile method but I cant remember any contamination with this and that was a nig rig of a technique.

I feel like this goes unsaid
Blueconfusion agreed with me. Just inoculate quarts.
