At times flying in dreams was just like swimming. I used to swim a lot, so I would air swim in my dreams.

There is a balance to lucidity.
Get to excited, you wake up, get to dreamy, you'll forget its a dream again.
Took awhile for me to master flying because of this.
I would be like YES I'm dreaming! --take off flying and start almost waking up..than be like oh no, to much! forget, and than gravity would take over and I'd be jumping really really high instead of just flying...much like the hulk.
Also sex in a lucid dream feels just like the real thing, if not better.
Hulk smash.

I've flown . I seem to have some interesting lucid dreams . I use to use the asking myself if i was dreaming and looking around like posted above . I've also have noticed for me at least that about 2 to 5 mg of vitamin b6 or pyridoxine at bed time can realy help dreams become more vivid . In my dreams i remember at first trying to take big leaps as a dreamer . This would wake me up sometime I awake to find myself dreaming sometimes still in a lucid dream state . I've noticed that it's at first a struggle for many including myself . Just take time open doors . Try to think your self to another place in a dream . Talk with the people in your dreams learn from them and any thing you do in your path for what you seek.

You don't look at your hands as a test, when you find your suspicions rising. You look at your hands to train your subconscious mind to perform this task automatically while dreaming, thus inducing a lucid dream.
The more you find and gaze at your hands in lucid dreaming the more solid your dreaming body, or double, becomes.
Gaze at your hands then gaze at an object in the dream, then back to your hands. Repeat this hands/object switch as many times as you can to both strengthen your dreaming attention span and also to strengthen your dreaming body.
