Tripping in an inhospitable climate
    #19049872 - 10/29/13 12:24 AM (10 years, 3 months ago)

Hey, I live in the highest town in Britain; due to this, it is cold, miserable, grey and rainy almost every day. I am yet to trip outside in this greyness, however, I wonder if other people do this. Just looking outside at the weather gives me bad vibes about tripping... I want sun! Any thoughts?

Trip in the house and watch the storm.. that sounds awesome to me, but maybe it's because it's sunny 95% of the time here

I was scared to trip at night and I live in the city so I was concerned but if youre with some good pals who lighten up the mood, the trip is scary in a fun way hahaha. Just stay away from large crowds when I use mushrooms I like being in a park or somewhere empty very late at night with my good friends

A good setting is important for a positive psychedelic experience. I wouldn't trip anywhere I consider to be miserable and gives me bad vibes.  Of course there are people who take psychedelics in this type of setting.  However, they probably get good vibes from the grayness.  Wait for a sunny day because that is what YOU prefer.

I would go for it. Bring good clothes for the weather, and it will be a rewarding experience. I've tripped out in the snow, and it was as fun as usual. Maybe you could set up a tarp or something to uses as a home base of sorts?

The problem is, I won't have any sun for about 8 months - that's if i'm lucky. Also, at this time of the year and with my build its pretty stupid to go outside for longer than about an hour :frown:

Is tripping inside not an option?

Every trip is different.

If outside is cloudy and dull, I would for sure trip indoors, preferably not alone. Get another human that owns a pair of these: :boobs: They will prove to be incredibly useful later on :lol:

I can trip inside, but I have probably tripped 100+ times on mushrooms in the past & almost every single trip was exclusively in my bedroom; a single room becomes very exhausting when you have spent an eternity inside it... my family 'tolerate' my psychedelic use but far from condone it and would be a little hostile to find me trotting around the house like the pie-eyed piper :rolleyes:

I live in british columbia canada and it is crap weather here a lot of the time. During the rough seasons i generally do shrooms at night in a house and go outside in blankets if i go outside at all. But in the snow its fun as long as you have gloves :smile: as long as you have good thoughts about the rain and greyness and dont go into your trip already hating it you should be fine. The rain can be really awesome tripping out as well. Nice to stand in and watch it do its thing. The world is always more beautiful when consuming nature (;

I have tripped outside in greyness and a small amount of rain, we get a lot of that kinda shit here in Oregon. It's all in your head, if you don't like being outside during this kind of weather, then idk, trip indoors. Just dress in more clothes then you think you need, so that way you won't be cold if it happens to get even more cold that night. Open air feels great tripping regardless of what mother nature is throwin at us.

you can trip with bad weather if you have the luxury of some heating in your house. I mean I dont have any heating but thats just me:fasted: I heard that in this high tek world some people have something like that...

I dont think it will be much fun outside if its like you describe. You can have great trips inside if you want.

I don't think you're supposed to be tripping ALONE in your room. I told you the pair of :boobs: will come in handy :lol:

Never liked the idea of having a sitter :rolleyes: I guess I just can't fully let go if someone else is there not on the same level as me; unfortunately I don't know any girls who would take the same kind of doses that I do.

Find something positive about the environment you want to trip in and focus on that. You will have a good time

Don't enjoy having a sober sitter ;p And I agree; my girlfriend approves of my psych use but is not too keen on dosing/doesn't want to, not sure. ;p
